Actually I was already assuming Anders and Seb is going to end up killing one another. Maybe unless you persuade Seb down to the path of Vengeance.

V!Anders seems to hate anything related to templars and Chantry now.

They will all die. Every templar, every holy sister who stands in the
way of our freedom will die in agony and their deaths will be our fuel.
We will have justice. We will have vengeance.

Oh boy. Seb is gonna have a hard time with Anders, that I can presume as much.

Almost makes me want my Warden to find Anders and put him down. Leliana was a holy sister once:wub:.

I think there could be conflict between Sebastian and Anders, but Anders saying "who stands in the way of our freedom" is a good sign it won't be bloody conflict. Only the templars/sisters who demand control over mages will be his targets.

The main problem I have with this character is that now that is has been confirmed that he isn't going to be a viable romance option for either gender he's been made totally redundant by Varric who is also a ranged fighter (with a much cooler weapon), a prince and doesn't look too bad himself.



Knowing what I know now I kind of wish they'd gone the Shale route and craft a totally unique companion.



Sebastian all tease no action.

As has been said a few times, the confirmation was only for core game characters. Seb is a DLC, and therefore any announcements about him will be separate.

Exactly, that's why he's totally redundant with Varric already in the main game. He doesn't seem to do anything our dear dwarf doesn't already do better and adds nothing unique or noteworthy to the game except his accent.

This makes me officialy dissapointed with the BW signature edition, as it looks now I don't think I'll even take the trouble to activate my free DLC.

Flirt lines are now specifically there to lead to a romance. Why would they bother putting them in there if it led to nothing? With the new system DESIGNED to make you aware of romance possibilities with a character (with little heart icons and everything), I don't think they'd designate flirt lines for a character with no romance subplot.



It seems like a waste of time and resources to make a flirt branch that goes nowhere.

Sure, but I also think there's a difference between being playful with someone and choosing a line that indicates your interest in an actual romance.  I guess we'll see.

Sure, but I also think there's a difference between being playful with someone and choosing a line that indicates your interest in an actual romance.  I guess we'll see. 

True romance involves courting, flirting  and a lot of subtleties. 

Your point being?  We're not arguing what a romance is, but how they'll manifest in the new game when using the heart icons and "flirt" system.

That's assuming the managers at EA actually know anything about efficient/worthwhile resource allocation. In short that's a very big if I wouldn't like to bet on.

Besides, how will game Hawke know who is and who isn't romanceable. To me, it makes sense that there would be flirt lines in there.

In my imagination, he regretfully has to turn Hawke down. I've already decided that there will be a lot of secret pining for Hawke from Seb. yes, that's right. I've already got a story in my head. LOL
