my mind--> What? You mean, there could be another DLC character/ other character we haven't seen yet? A character who is female? (to balance out the male/female ratio and possibly the romance options) If this is the case, then Seb could still be a LI, bi or straight (it wouldn't matter to me!). This would be assuming that the other character would mirror Seb's availability so nobody could cry "foul" at Bioware...

It is all right because that his or her  preference NOT to have him in his or her group.  As for me, he is my first pick when he becomes available.

True. I was just wondering how a character that we admittedly know little about could already qualify as useless. I haven't dismissed anybody from my party based on what we know. I'm trying to go into this with as open as a mind as I can.

I can hardly wait to hear the party banter! March 8th cannot get here fast enough!

@ Finis Valorum I totally see what your trying to say and I comletely agree, but it is completely POV if Sebastian is a "recycled" character. First off, we need to play the game in it's entirety before we jump to conclusions about ANY character, unlike you I will probably be using Sebastian > Varric. And saying that he "has a cooler weapon to boot" is quite the opposite for me, I absolutely despise crossbows/guns in my fantasy genres, but hey, thats my POV. Do with it what you will.

True. While both characters will have their defining qualities, it is up to the player to decide which character will be a member of his/her party. There's no reason to throw Sebastian out the window just yet.  Just because he's another rogue, doesn't mean he can't have any differences.  (Storyline, etc.) I think he will be a unique character and add some spice to the game. Of course, for those who would like  to team up with him.

Probably a good thing, archers sucked in DA:O, Leli was much better with dual weapons.
It'll likely be more like Awakening, where archers were actually you know, useful.

First play PC = Rogue, Isabella, Sebastian and a Mage.

Its just that all this makes me feel kind of cheated by the Bioware EA marketing department.

Like I said knowing what I know at the moment his value to me is exactly zero which means I wouldn't pay for this Dlc separately, however I predictably just couldn't contain my excitement and had to pre-order the game. I feel like such a fool now



Apparently there's a sucker born every minute and I was born right on time to be suckered into this scheme, for which I blame DAO and Shale.

Yes, they share the same nose.

So I guess the question I have to ask myself about this DLC is do I really want to run around with Joaquin Phoenix for upwards of 50 hours.

I agree, he really played his roles well in the film. Also, Sebastian needs more fangirls supporters!

Dune was amazing, not even gonna lie. I guess I can deal with Alec Joaquin Newman Phoenix for the sake of Dragon Age 2, the character does look undeniably BA

Alec Newman and Gideon Emery's voice alone makes me giddy enough. Can't wait to get my hands on the game, think Seb and Fen is gonna be stuck permanently in my party. Anders and Carver will be swapped every now and then.
