And I think Morrigan intends to bring the Old Gods back, or at least that one. To what end only she knows.
Can't wait for the next installment. ^^

I played a human noble, romanced Morrigan from the start and had her 100% in love with me for most of my 55 hours of gameplay. To me this should open up the option that she changes her mind at the end and either stays with you or allows you to join her. I'm going to assume Bioware would relize this as well so I'm sure the ending is this way only because there is going to be added content that allows you to go find your beloved and child,

Perhaps we'll see the romance quest going on in the next DA. She was pretty much my favourite character, so I hope she'll be in the next game.

least romancing with leliana ends up being more joyfull? im considering her for my second playtrough.
If you can stand listening to her. She goes on like a broken record and if it wasn't for the skip dialog button you'd need to hit yourself in the head with a hammer.

i'm starting second playthrough as a rouge human thinking of romancing leliana but damn morrigan was good. although maybe i didn't progress far enough? it seems people say after a certain point she basically goes into denial of being in love with you so she tries to be more "independent" i.e. won't sleep with you anymore, argues with you a lot..
i didn't run into that lol, i slept with her at camp basically up until she broke it off with me with her proposal of the baby. and slept with her one last time on the eve of battle, (for mine and alistair's sake) so is that because i didn't progress far enough into the relationship? lol.
not complaing.. haha. just wondering?

Yeah. She won't sleep with you once you get to 100% I believe. She wouldn't with me anyway, and it erupted a convo where she says she won't bow to your every will, then when you say "Sorry, I didn't mean to upset you" she then continues on to say "I.... I don't wish to talk about it" or something. Then you ask ask her about it later under the personal dialogue options. In which she asks you to break it off again.Zer0cool040 wrote...

Exactly...once she loves you she gets "scared" and wont sleep with you anymore.

I feel as long as they use your save game to continue your romance with her in the future, I will be happy. I would be really upset if Bioware went through such lengths to put a romantic subplot like Morrigan's in the game just to have it end and mean absolutely zero in the future.
I liked how her decisions became more difficult for her as she was in love with you and hope that would carry over into the next content with her. I personally feel either Morrigan or Flemeth will be responsible for the next major problem in Thedas (simply because of how Flemeth felt about 'the truth of men' and what was done to her in the past) - Flemeth also said that 'mens hearts hold shadows darker than any tainted creature' so this makes me feel as though she has a plan to take her revenge.

Not to mention the fact that I can just picture her raising the kid far away from everyone while remembering the time we shared. Can't help but wonder if that will soften her character or make her more bitter as the years go by and the past gets further and further away.
I can totally see that happening... I just hope it doesn't. In my personal opinion, just my opinion =) , I think her character romance adds so much more meaning to the story. You get to live, actually see Ferelden united and all that happens, and have the choice to venture back out and search for her. That's just me though. Hopefully Bioware doesn't decide to make the sequel take place 100 years later and your main died long ago heh heh.

The only problem with that is it leaves the game meandering mindlessly between them whilst still mostly keeping to the 'good' side IE save the village, help the mages, kill the werewolves, ETC I'd like just once for bioware to make a game where I can actually set up secret alliances with various shady and evil characters throughout the game and at the end take over the kingdom, alone(without Alistair)... Another good idea would be if the PC could willingly allow demonic possession and gains the ability to use some very evil and destructive magics (like corrupting or possessing others).
No matter what happens in the game, you ALWAYS have to save the kingdom their way... Ultimately no matter what you do or what choices you make, you're always good like it or not.

I think you need to play a little deeper, read a little deeper, think a little harder. You can do almost everything you listed, and if you can't, you can do some very, very similiar stuff.
I'm not downing you, there is a lot left for me to take on, as well.

And the game is not about deciding on every aspect of the plot, afteral, just a few decisions are really up to us when we play. What we can really do is to have influence on the facts, as if we were there, whitch we are.
And the sad end, in my view, has everything to do with the charachters, the situation and the game itself. For me Morigan and her relationship with the PC is the best thing on a videogame in years.
I think BioWare own us a sequel to this story. Such a marvelous story with so mutch room for continuation. But that's just me...

The best ending it when you sacrifce yourself..They give much more detail about your companion. What i did not like it's was the allistair speech . I though it's could have been better if every companion told the PC their farewell at his corpse.Which would feel more realistic than that emo brat giving the speech.
Also well Moriggan . When i left my avatar alive.I did not bring her to fight the archdemon .. and she clearly said it's her DESTINY and although love was not intended with the PC she regret nothing.
I did several playthrough and haven't has any ending with morrigan feeling regret and sadness. So i don't know where it's come from lol.But anyway . She had plan and it's seem to be very important for her.Kinda like a life goal.

QFT despite there claims and all the choices the game itself was pretty linear and ends pretty much the same. No surprise twist or any twist for that matter that's effected by your choices.

If you have her at 100%(Love) when you have the conversations at the end of the game, she clearly says she loves you, and that while she always planned to coneive the child, she never planned on loving you. She never mentoins stopping loving you either, and in fact her parting words (outside of battles if you bring her) are "I will never forget you my love...", and if you reply "I will always search for you." then in the end panels you are told that you can feel deep regret and sorrow coming through the ring she gave you.
Now that I've typed this all out, I'll just go cry in the corner in sadness.

I do feel the whole "this is my duty" thing really comes out of nowhere for her character. That part of her character could have been developed much better.

She is easily the most annoying character in DA:O. Brainwashed would be a compliment for her.
Little Ms. Independence can't handle love? Pathetic.
You know they intensionally made her plot that much of the case of blue balls to "hook, line and sinker" you folks for more $$$, not that I mind.
