All of them, I did not spend over 40 hours earnning their loyalty and keeping them alive just for giggles, which obviously means valid reason for them not being there is you let them get killed.



As for favorites, Tali, Legion and Garrus, besides, I think Tali and legion are going to be playing a major role(if still alive)

See, I want them all to have a good part story-wise, because why make so many varied characters if you're not going to give them something to do? Who I want in squad varies depending on the Shepard I'm playing. I do particularly hope the VS is back though. Alenko and Williams would be nice.



Grunt, Garrus, Tali, Miranda, and Jacob really have no character reason, (as they were at the end of ME2) to /not/ still be in your squad at the end, assuming they're all still alive.

Except maybe Garrus and Tali, who could be off rallying their species for aid against the Reapers.

Mordin could be in his lab, (or retired/dead from old age, *sniffles*) Zaeed/Kasumi could be freelance again, as they were just hired, Wrex is on Tuchanka, Liara's the SB, Legion's back w/the geth, Thane's w/Kolyat, (or dead, unfortunately), Samara would return to asari space, (Morinth would be off hunting again), Jack's prickly enough she could have run off to be solo-pirate...

I hope anyone not in the squad has a decent story-based cameo, a la Wrex in 2, regardless.

Kaidan or Ashley (not a VS - they deserve to be two different characters), Miranda, Kasumi, Zaeed, Legion and Mordin (Mordin as an NPC in tech lab).

Samara and Thane (and one another asari who's neither Liara nor Samara) are not top priority

Kaidan (Ashley) is a must, Liara, Wrex and Garrus as for the rest I'm not bothered. Tali I assumed would be rallying the Quarians, there's no reason for Zaeed to be there. Miranda and Jacob have nowhere else to be having turned their backs on Cerberus but not really bothered. Kasumi has done what she wanted so would be out stealing stuff again. Jack has no reason to be there anymore, it's not like she cares about the fate of the universe. Thane and Mordin should be dead, although I did like the Dr, prob my fave companion of ME2. Samara would go back to doing her bad ass Asari thing

If I'd absolutely have to chose, it would be Kaidan, Liara, Wrex, Thane, Miranda and Zaeed.

As long as the survivors of ME1 and ME2 are somehow represented in the game (brief encounters, e-mails and such), I really don't need any of them to be squaddies.



I'd like Liara to play an important part in the game as SB though.

Must haves: The ME1 team that was not in ME2 (Liara, Ashley, Kaidan, Wrex).

From ME2, I like Miranda, Thane, Mordin, Samara, Jack the most.

Oh, and Grunt...how could I forget about Grunt.

Wow, for a no spoiler forum, people have certainly been dishing out the goods on Liara.



Back on topic, I'll be most upset if Garrus isn't back as a squadmate. I'd love to have Zaeed, Legion and Mordin back as well...
