she wasn't my favorite, but i give the title of most boring party member to wynne. She just seemed like arrogance wrapped in false modesty, and one who gave "wisdom" without ever giving solid advice i could use. With leliana, i was always half wondering if she was lying for some reason, and that made me interested

to add... the dog seemed like a wasted party slot.

I loved her. She was talkative, fun, had a good sense of humor and a side-quest that I found to be the most rewarding out of all companion quests. Frankly, there wasn't a single party member that I found boring. Not even the Dog.:)

Leliana was boring to me, until I found out her history, than her God-Warriorness seemed much more interesting.

At first she didn't appeal much to me, but after a few playthroughs I found that she was a well layered character. She's definitely not a superficial uninteresting character and you can see that from her troubled past.

Layered past or not, I've got to say that Leliana has never really interested me very much. It's really a matter of personal opinion, though, and I know some people that are very passionate about her.

If you don't mind me asking, Gabey5, have you played Leliana's Song?

I like Leliana, it just took awhile because you have to dig past the superficial surface she presents.

I dreaded talking to her the most but i get why people would find her charming

I wouldn't say she's uninteresting. Nauseating and annoying, but not uninteresting. I don't think any of the NPCs were dull. Not even Wynne, who's a boatload of fun to hate on. Contrast to ME1, where half the companions were dull as dirt and only slightly more interesting than Shepard.

The most uninteresting party member was Oghren. By a mile.
I'm just very weary of the token comic relief-dwarf.

As for Leliana, I thought she was one of three most interesting companions you could pick up on the way. She, Wynne and Sten were my BFF's. Well, Leliana a bit more than that, perhaps.

None of the companions in Dragon Age where uninteresting though.

If they were we would not be talking about them this much after the game came out.

I've never really seen Oghren as comic relief. His life is just really far too depressing for that...

Well like what Sarah said, it's all a matter of personal opinion.

Indeed when he said branka left because the way he was and that just doubled his drinking and then when awakening comes he has pretty much given up on a family and he has no where to go and the only place where he is accepted as he is(depending on how you rp the warden) is the warden. quite sad imo.

Oghren was a huge wet blanket for me in Awakenings. I play games to escape, not relive past Al-Anon meetings.

Wow, every single companion is interesting in a way, of course I had some favorites and some party members I did not like, but come on even dog was interesting in some ways, there were some jokes as with Morrigan's pack and the boy at the bridge, etc that made it fun. I mean i didn't like some companions but that doesn't mean they're uninteresting.

Leliana was by far my favorite party member. She's one of my favorite fictional characters ever, I would even say.

Bioware seems attached to drunken slobbish dwarfs. BG1 had Yeslick and Kaigan, BG2 had Korgan (hope I didn't get them switched around) and now we have literally at the bottom of the barrel, Oghren.

C'mon Bioware, can we have at least one sober, intelligent dwarf NPC?

I always like the dog. He had some interesting moments, and you can't get a certain helm without him.

This.

I enjoy all the companions in a way, even the ones I personally dislike.

Sigrun doesn't count?
