Ok according to the game options there is a hot key assigned to toggle walk/run - I assume this means if my current setting has me running everywhere that hitting this toggle key should change that so that I then walk everywhere instead.

The issue is using the key doesn't appear to do anything... I still run everywhere.

Am I not understanding what the toggle is supposed to do?

Or Is the toggle broken?

Anyone have a clue or a few minutes to try it out in their game and see if it works for them? Image IPB

Walk will only work when you are using the 'W" key.If you are using a right click on your mouse to move,it will still run

It's the / above your numberpad (on the right of your keyboard) that you're pressing?

Walk will only work if you are using the 'W' or 'S' key on your board. The characters still run when you use 'right click' on your mouse

It is altho I was wondering if num lock should be on or off or if that didn't matter.

If it only works with the W key movement thats probably whats going on as I rarely use keyboard controls for movement in these games. Image IPB

@snowdog, you can always change the binding key in the options screen.

interesting, i'm the opposite... i almost aways use WASD to move in these games... probably a reflection of MMO training and the need for more precision with the mouse to do other things... though i catch myself -often- holding down both mouse buttons and trying to move... sure sign i've played too many hours of MMOs...since thats my lazy way of moving...

Would be nice if they made it possible to click-walk as well, as you can in NWN and NWN2. Great for clicking once and checking out the scenery as you walk.

The walk toggle doesn't work for me no matter if I use the WASD keys or the mouse...it's not a big deal, just kind of an annoyance...

Is there such a thing as a continuous walk? Meaning not having to hold down the "W" key? Press it once and you start walking, press it again and you stop? Possibly a dumb question, but I likes to walks around and look. PIA to have to hold the key down. What a slob I am.

On the PC, there isn't a key that toggles continuous movement, I've looked. I remapped the run/walk key to R (nothing's mapped there originally). If I hold down both buttons on my mouse, then I run or walk everywhere. If I do the right click on a point to move, then I always run.
