Hey, gamers and support team.

I've bought Mass Effect today. And I couldn't wait to play it... But when I launch it. It launches a config utility which freezes and then Windows tries to look for a solution, but doesn't find anything else than to close it. Then I try again and the same repeats.

OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit
Processor: Intel Core i3 540
Graphics: Nvidia SomethingSomethingGood
RAM: 4GB
[edit: Where I bought my computer the seller said I could run Black Ops without any problem, so I don't think the graphics are any problem, not with the config. I am also able to run the game if I go through the program files folder, but still...]

Anything helps?

Store personnel will say anything to get a sale, so that is totally meaningless. The most common reason for the configuration to act badly is the absence of a proper graphics card.

I figured out why now xD
I downloaded a patch
Yes, I'm an idiot >_<

Edit: Also, salesmen are not like that in Norway, at least not when you know where to buy

Admittedly, I haven't ever been to Norway; I've been to a few places outside of the states over the years, and all of the sales people I have encountered have been willing to stretch the truth a very long way, so either Norway sales personnel are special, or that particular retailer you shopped with is special.

But if you've got it going now, that's good.. Have fun with it!

Its great it sounds like you got it fixed but I also want to point out that you should try to check for updated video card drivers somewhat regularly.
