Now I know that this has been around since 3rd person shooters have been around, but I can reason that to have it in the Mass Effect series is beautiful.

There is longer any need to worry about the Insanity difficulty, LOKI Mechs, YMIR Mechs, Geth Primes, or any other enemy at that.

Why I call it the "Corner Glitch" is the simple fact that the game's physics engine allows your fire to pass right through the corners of any object, except NPCs.

It comes most in handy when there is a massive threat such as three YMIRs or a hoard of LOKIs bearing down on your position. Instead of risking damage or the possibility of quick death on Insanity, you can simply stand up and fire at everyone in the area from a safe position behing a box without ever leaving cover.

It works by sauntering up to cover or a corner on a wall and standing so close to the wall that the pixels on the front of your weapon are touching the cover and letting your reticule hang out of cover and your body stay behind it. SHABAM! You can now fire through the wall and pelt a YMIR without ever getting hit.

Again, this probably existed in many games before, but I only realized its potential when Mass Effect 2 came out.

I'll post some videos and pictures later.

Now go have fun never having a problem with any difficulty again!

Why would you want to do this? If you are thinking the game is too hard then turn down the difficulty. If you want to skip fights, why play at all?

I will admit to abusing this or something similar in some of my encounters with the Praetorian.

Yeah, you sometimes stand behind a wall (not in active cover) and shoot just around the corner while enemies don't / can't shoot back. But I also had it the other way around; feeling safe behind cover, but still getting hit by enemy Warp or YMIR rocket.

ME2 isn't really hard, no need to use glitches to play on Insanity, but this might be useful for those boring Praetorian fights.

Looking forward to a video, just to be sure what you mean exactly.

Not all corners are created equally. Due to Shepards left side offset: looking and shooting around corners to the RIGHT is way more effective then doing the same to the LEFT. Tall cover is the best defense in the game provided that you don't actually DOCK into it. Let's see your videos.

Guys, guys, calm down I'm not a panzy and I love the Mass Effect series. It just makes it easier in tense situations. I only use it mainly on YMIRs and Praetorians.

Sorry, my reply post didn't work. But I do love the Mass Effect series and I only really use it on YMIRs and Praetorians. It is just useful but don't take me as a panzy, I can beat Insanity at any time without it, I did in ME1 three times.

I almost always use something like this on the first Ymir you meet. I walk around one large piece of solid cover keeping it between me and the mech while pelting it with warps I arc over the cover and occasionally taking a pot shot. I don't really consider it a glitch, just good tactics. The mech is just too tall for the cover so I can arc warp over it without too much trouble. Every other time I bump into them I just use cover normally, it seems quicker. .

This is what I do against certain enemies and the Praetorian on Horizon. I don't gltich through corners, but I find cover that will block the rays from hitting me in the torso while I fire over the cover.

It's supposed to be a glitch? So I've been cheating all this time? =( I must really suck at shooting games.

Sorry, guys, for causing such a stur. I just wanted to share what I had. I love this game and am anticipating Mass Effect 3. Please don't question my loyalty to the series.

I don't question your loyalty. At the same time I didn't realize ppl didn't know about this / think it's an exploit.

It's not an exploit. It's just a limitation in the way character models and the game AI are designed to interact with the environment that can serve as either a boon or a hazard to the player, depending on the situation.

fighting the preatorin on horizon is just weird. i run circles around those few boxes/crates to the left and pop shots and arc warp. the preatorian can fly but it cant get higher then 10 ft to get over the obstacle? its not a hard enemy at all. all i need is one box to circle around.

The Praetorian also doesn't know well enough to hand-snipe Sheppard, which allows you to "corner glitch" it around the crates/truck, while it feebly tries to shoot Shep's center mass.

I loathe that Praetorian fight. It is so routine. It represents a lot of video games' faults: unrealistic in its own context (there's no roof over its head in that battlefield yet it won't fly higher) and there is no skill involved in taking it down, just boring potshots and running in circles.

I'm not a big poster and I never got a chance to see a video, sorry. I've got very little experience with posting on forums.
