I think it would be adorable if she was a terrible cook and my Shepard would try to put on a straight face as she tries Liara's meal.

I can see this going both ways.

Liara: *takes a bite, chewing slowly while trying to keep a straight face*
Shepard: So?  What do you think?
Liara: It is very impressive for such an early attempt.
Shepard: *Takes a bite*
Liara: *Pauses, looking up at Shepard*
Shepard: *Spits food out onto plate*
Liara (looking relieved): Oh, thank the Goddess!  *Takes her napkin and removes the food from her mouth.*

Ah! You beat me to it. I had some business to tend to for an hour. But here goes my version:

Shepard: "So how is it? You like it?"

Liara: "It's... good. I'm grateful for all the trouble you must have taken in making this, Shepard."

S: "Come on Liara, you don't have to be so formal with me. Tell me what you really think. Ways I could improve? Perhaps I have marinated it for a bit too long?"

L: "I'm afraid I don't have enough knowledge about human cuisine to offer detailed suggestions like that..."

S: "But this is a famous Asari recipe!"

L: "That's... not what I meant..."

S: "Ah. And I thought this would be easy. Well, at least Grunt liked it."

L: "Listen, Shepard. This dish is hard to make even for the Asari. How about something more commonplace for today's dinner? I got some new spices from Matriarch Aethyta - I can show you how to put them to good use if you wish."

S: "Well, OK. [Pouts] But I still have a better Stasis."

L: "That you do, Shepard. And many other things."

Liara is seriously one of my favorite characters. Her apartment just accentuates that.

I certainly don't feel shame in any way.

She's way better than that Tali "character", what a pandering bit of fanservice she is. The only thing worse than her writing in ME2 are her fans on the BSN, how many stupid polls can they make?

ACC3SS, I support you running around dropping your awesome Paragon Interrupt Kisses banner into every thread ... Love It.

And yes, Liara's apartment is entirely awesome, and well worth revisiting. I haven't played LotSB as DudeShep, but Hale's delivery of "It's Ilos" during the apartment investigation is full of win. How she fit so much "I miss her - the night before Ilos was a very special time - God, I'm worried about her" into just two words, I'll never know.

On the subject of cooking, while I understand how Liara's cooking ability can be inferred from the apartment, I'll reserve judgement until I see what's in her cupboards. My sink has dirty dishes in it, and that doesn't mean I cooked, unless you call re-heating pizza or putting canned soup in a pot "cooking".

I'm gonna have to pay MUCH closer attention to the finer details in the apartment next time I'm playing through. All I remember thinking previously was "Damn! This is a swank pad!"

Totally agree. That painting had me & my FemShep transfixed for about 5 seconds.

I just started a Liara LI run the other day, and I love her apartment too.... especially the great view, and the rainy atmosphere with all the traffic...

actually reminds of a Coruscant from Episode II... complete with a car chase scene which makes me love it all the more :)

Liara a great cook? Totally. Which is nice, since my Shep is an Adpet and she really needs to eat a lot lol

LOL I doubt my Vanguard Shep eats any less. I think the only Sheps who eat normally are Engineers, and perhaps Infiltrators. I'd say a Soldier Shepard eats 2 to 3 times (depends on which Adernaline Rush) as much as a non-biotic soldier such as Zaeed. Dunno how much calories are burnt by biotics exactly, but Heavy Charge sure looks it's draining.

Illium is very hot (close to 40 Celcius even in habitable zones) and so the weather is tropical to sub-tropical. Which makes Nos Astra even more like Hong Kong, one of my favorite Earth cities. Sometimes I hate the frequent rains, especially with typhoons, but the rains give the city a permanently clean look. Beautiful.

Really? Where does it say its 40 celcius? The planet description box? I never look at those things I just land there :)

Nos Astra like Hong Kong eh? That sounds like a great place to chill out after the war is over

Think Shep gets R&R time? He/She has been on the go since ME1
