I thought it annoying to have to buy very small increments for backpacks, but unfortunately ran into an issue. Currently there is a hard coded limit of 125 to player inventory size.  I haven't played with the toolset much yet...  Does anyone know how to fix this?

Use this thread for its discussion of project as well.

One of the devs recently released a mod that increases backpack size to 125: http://dragonage.gul...p/mods/easy_mod so I'm guessing that is the limit, at least for now.

oh ok, didn't see that release or here about it... Thanks

Hmmm... with his it seems you have to run a console command every time you start a new game. Mine is done on its own after install with any load... So it might still be wanted/useful.

The simplest way to get a huge inventory is to open the toolset, open your current savegame (make backup) and find->modify the SAVEGAME_MAX_ITEMS in the SAVEGAME_PARTYLIST section of the savegame. The max seems to be 999 which will be more than plenty to carry just about everything from the entire game.

Any idea if this causes problems? has this been tested?

I've been stuck on 125 for a long time on my primary avatar yet am reluctant to use this although I would happily use a mod that offers greater amounts of slots though backpacks up to 200 or 300.

Seen someone state after using the mod for a few hours, shutdown and came back to the game later where they were suddenly limited to 125 again and lost a butt load of gear/items so its frankly worrying.

If you use toolset to give yourself more than 125 space make sure you never buy a backpack (oor use my mod) The game script that executes on gaining a backpack is hard coded thus... I guess if you do give yourself more than 125 you should make sure you still have that before you save...

My savegame files are substantially smaller after saving from the toolset. What gets dropped?

if you can on second playthrough. it would become quite obvious that the extra backpack space is not needed - as you would know what items are total cash junks.

and, you can always edit your save to get a larger backpack size....

I tried the save edit, and it works great. 999 inventory spaces.

I have mine wet to 500 and I've not had any problem with it. However, if you set it above 125 and buy a backpack thinking it'll give you more, it'll just reset it to 125.

125 with camp chest is more than enough space IMO, so why temp fate with making it anything larger and losing stuff when it resets... though try taking that discussion to another thread if you want to continue. This thread is for my mod.

I set all my games to 200 and it works fine - ignore the silly backpacks. If they expanded by 20 at a time I would have gone with that but 10 frign slots at a pop is just mean. and now I see that the original game max is 125? haha yea right.....

Yes having the max at 125 makes spending more effort on this mod pointless. I was going to instigate several more options, like starting with 80 size and then 20 a pop or 100 with x a pop etc. many options but silly to do so if it stops at 125...

the limit is not 125? i've been running around with at least 160 (full inventory) just don't buy a backpack after changing the limit (or buy them all then increase it)

Poubo: The max is 125 in game code. In order to get above that you have to hack via editor, that is what I meant by max. No mod can make it more than 125, a user themselves have to instigate going over that :( Unless I missed another function that allows it...

ah i see what you mean, i havent done testing on that, but there seems to be a lot of things you can do with the editor, im sure there will be a base function of increasing the backpack sizes somewhere
