Is there ever going to be a fix for this because its a pain to go searching for items that dont exist in game?

Nevermind. You're not on PC.

Yeah.... Thats why this thread is in the 360 forum. I already know there is a mod that drops the entire set for use, but there should be a way to fix problems in DA about items that dont show up like they are supposed to, ie Shaperate's Blessing and the Blackblade Gloves and Boots.

The answer to your question is unfortunately, NO. Dragon Age Origins is done. There will be no more patches. It's alot of the reason I chose to sell my 360 version and get the PC version.
Also I heard that the Feastday Pranks pack is broken on the 360? Might be careful of that and find out for sure before you buy it if you haven't already, because while IMO a broken DLC should be fixed, I doubt it will be after Witch Hunt's fix, they are done.

They were done a long time ago, we got one real patch ten months after release and that was pretty much it. Too busy working on DA2 which is out in a few months, hopefully it won't be as rushed as awakening was. It is possible to hex edit some aspects of your save and swap models of armor/weapons, but that will only get you the look of the set, not the stats.
