I can't stand her. She talks so much trash. Excuse me "queen if you're feeling dramatic" I took out hordes of Krogan and Geth...killed Saren and stopped a big talking robot. I'm almost willing to bet those 2 asari dancers on each side of her are her real bodyguards. (Noticing the strategic placement of her minions)

I love how everyone seem to think that Shepard is some kind of God. You're in the Terminus, which is pretty much run by Aria and she has run it firmly for centuries. You're in a club run by Aria and God knows how many people who work for her are actually in there. So excuse her if she feels confident in her base.

And she fought a Krogan warlord solo and won. So she's in a position of power, has confidence in her skill, has the talent (in theory anyways) to back her words, and has at least some trust in her twitchy minions around them. She can afford to be a bit arrogant.

Though the pointless, unskipable camera zoom for the f-bomb was annoying.

No, seriously. I have nothing against Aria or her power over Omega and I get what you're satying. It's just that specific line - is it supposed to come off as intimidating? 'Cuz it certainly didn't for me.

And it has nothing to do with Carrie-Ann Moss's voice acting.

Nah, not that Shepard's all-powerful, but that the Commander stirs up too much trouble. Aria's smart enough to note that far before Shepard's past enemies did, so she gives an intimidating little speech followed by helpful information with no fuss. Kinda like a good cop/bad cop routine pulled on Shepard without him/her noticing. Steering the bull away from the china shop and all those bad analogies...

Uh, no.  When you step towards her, and everyone gets twitchy, they both duck down and come up with weapons.  They go back to dancing pretty quick, so it's fairly easy to miss.  Flycam shots:

Indeed, I even think the book specifically points out that the 2 asari dancers next to Aria are biotic bodyguards, as well as eye candy

The devs did a hell of a job making her smarter than the player's aware.

If you were bragging about how powerful you were, why give out free information to a mere human? Why not make that human work for it towards your own advantage?

Because Shepard IS working towards her advantage when giving what the Commander wants. Steer a human Spectre, who's reputation for destruction is acknowledged by even a minion of Aria's, away from her base of operations & she avoids unnecessary loss of people & property. As well as a fringe benefit of said human feeling obligated to Aria.

I know, this is nothing new to you guys, just wanted to finish a line of thought.

Yes because we all know Shepard hasn't destroyed bases filled with people who want him dead before.

I mean really? Shep's not a god? 

Shep Sue is as close to a god as you can get.

Though really the only thing that annoys me is Shep's inability to speak eloquently. And really that always has bothered me so meh.

Just once I'd like for Shep to meet a baddie/badass going "blah blah blah." 

"Uh-huh." 

That's all I want Shep to say. Just an uh-huh while giving the other character an unimpressed look so he/she feels like an idiot for acting like a ham.

Hehe. It's funny how many players dislike Aria because she pulled all this 'Don't **** with me' on Shepard and Shepard can't talk back. =)

I love Aria. As for her pompous speech in the beginning... Well, our favourite turian councilor saying something like this would be stupid ('I AM the council!' /Palpatine-style). But I see Omega as a totally different world with it's own rules and regulations, kills and shows, pathos and poverty. The speech Aria gives is part of the show, that's why it may seem unnatural to some ('I am Omega', heh). After the show is over Aria is talking to Shepard normally, without pathos and intimidation, and she treats Shepard as an equal from that moment on.

As Moss' delivery of lines is fantastiс. '...Queen is you're feeling dramatic. It doesn't matter' part is just one of the things that get me every time I hear Aria's voice.
