Super Metroid
The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask
Mass Effect
Resident Evil 4
Silent Hill 2
EarthBound
Super Mario Bros. 3
Streets of Rage
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night

It's really difficult .
Number 1 : Old school Dark Age of Camelot . It's the mmorpg i had the most fun ever and the most fun online . Played between 2001-2005 with several long break ..
Number 2 : Super Metroid .. My favorite Super NES video game and one of my favorite of all time. It's one of the first game ever i had shivers.
Number 3 : Final Fantasy VI .. I don't feel like explaining why . It's would take to long.I would discuss the game story with my co-worker during my stage back in 1998 .It's was just that epic.
Number 4: Half-Life 2 ..In 2005 i was basicly screaming during that chase with the techno music .. Not many game have given me the same sensation of pwnage.I will include here counter-strike .. Which is probably the best Mod ever created if not multiplayer.Which reinvented the e-sport.
Number 5: Dragon age Origins .. Haven't wasted so many hours in a RPG for a long time
Number 6: Street fighter IV .. After being a huge Third strike player. Here come SF4 .. We needed it .
Number 7: Grand Theft Auto 4
Number 8: Mass Effect 2
Number 9: Red Dead Redemption
Number 10 : Resident Evil 4
10 it's not enough for a list .. It's like my top 10 movie .. I would need a mega list.

Coming up with definitive best lists are impossible, so my disclaimer is that these are my ten favorite games.
Super Smash Bros. Brawl
I have put more hours into the Super Smash series than any other series, ever. I still find it to be one of the best multiplayer experiences around, both accessible and deep. I like the Wii version the best, even if the single player mode made you replay levels again.
Mass Effect 2
Mass Effect one held this spot for a long time, but I think enough time has passed after playing both again that I enjoy the second one more. The only thing I find myself preferring in Mass Effect 1 over 2 is the overarching plot of the game, where ME1 had this great mystery ME2 was pretty much find bad guy and kill them. However, I prefer Mass Effect 2's micro-stories and characters to ME1's and I enjoy ME2's gameplay to ME1's. I've played ME2 six times now, and I have no problem starting up a seventh playthrough instead of going to the stack of new games I have waiting for me. That says a lot. I love the franchise and hope that ME3 wipes ME2 from the list as well.
Super Mario Bros. 3
Utter platforming perfection. I played this game for the first time fifteen years ago. I have never looked back. My personal apex in game design.
Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
I have an emotional connection to this game because it's the first game I ever beat, but as a 2d Zelda, it is pretty impeccable even without emotional attachment. It's a true classic, one you can sink hours into and a triumph for the SNES.
Soul Calibur
At the time, it was the best fighting game ever made and the series has remained the best 3d fighter around. The first was a revelation though, and it was the true killer app for the Dreamcast. It's just too bad the Sega system didn't have many more of those or maybe it would have lasted.
Sonic Adventure
Some say the game hasn't aged well, but I still love it. Maybe it's just nostalgia, but I find the levels in this game terrific, and I don't understand how they managed to progressively worse at designing 3d sonic games after this. The boss fights were also cool, and the only parts of this game I don't love are the Big the Cat fishing stages, but even so, I am quite fond of this game.
Civilization IV
4X awesomeness, an absolute time-sink and one of the finest strategy games ever. I play Civ 5 mostly now, but Civ 4 will always remain one of the finest computer games ever made. The production value, depth of gameplay, and addictiveness of the game make it an achievement still unmatched. I refuse to uninstall the game and every now and then I'll go back to it instead of booting up Civ 5.
Perfect Dark
The last first person shooter I ever really loved. It basically took everything right about Goldeneye and improved on it. The level of customization in the multiplayer and the well designed campaign make this an achievement. One of the N64's finest games.
Twisted Metal Black
Car combat games get overlooked nowadays, but this game was just fantastic. It had great action and took a certain level of strategy to boot. Plus, the stories and characters were all completely twisted, ****ed up, and good fun. I loved this game.
Rock Band 2
People may give me crap for putting a music game on this list, but RB2 did everything right. Just when I thought I was done with the genre it pulled me back in. The improvements were subtle, but overall the package was still great. Some people may say music games are for the casual crowd only but I still quite like rocking out to an Iron Maiden or Megadeth track every now and then.

Oh this is hard...
My number 1 is Bioshock. Words cannot explain the greatness of that. I went into a Gamestop one time and waved a twenty saying "One art please" just for the lulz. After that, in no particualr order:
-Mass Effect (34 completed playthroughs at the moment)
-Knights of the Old Republic
-The Sims 2
-Dead Space
-Fallout 2
-Crysis
-Halo Combat Evolved
-Oddworld (can't remember which, but one of the earlier ones)
-Oregon Trail (oh yes, I did)
Those were just my personal favourites. Honorable mentions (including games which i do consider better than the above) go to :
-Fallout 3
-Far Cry 2
-DA:O
-Jade Empire
-Halo Reach
-Starcraft
-Morrowind
-Mirror's Edge
-Splinter Cell series
-Mass Effect 2
-Deus Ex
-Unreal (my first FPS game)
-Yoshi's Island
-Golden Sun
-Super Smash Bros. Series
-Call of Duty (the first)

In a very particular order. (And 'best' is pretty subjective here, so I just went for 'favourite'. Mostly, I tend to think they're the same thing to me.)
1: Baldur's Gate trilogy: Has all of my favourite elements in a game. If I had to pick one, I'd pick Shadows of Amn, but really even the fact that it is a trilogy is one of the things that makes it my favourite.
2: Icewind Dale: All of the things I like about Baldur's Gate, except with a different (and to me less interesting) story.
3: Planescape: Torment: An awesome game with a great story and interesting NPCs, but to me not very high replayability - which is why it's third and not second or tied for first.
4: The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind: I like the story, and I like a lot of other things about the game, but there are some things I just don't like as much as the three above it.
5: Unreal Tournament 2004: UT2004 is definitely my favourite shooter. It's just more fun to me than the others.
6: Icewind Dale II: I like it for the same sort of reasons I like Icewind Dale II, but there are aspects of the story I dislike and the pseudo-third edition rules and point-buy system downrate it a fair amount for me.
7: Knights of the Old Republic: I'm not really terribly fond of the combat system and the point-buy grates on me even more than it usually grates on me, but over-all I'm still quite fond of it.
8: Neverwinter Nights: Mainly
for the multiplayer and modules aspect. The point-buy system really gets
under my skin, but there are other things that I do like.
9: Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura: It's all the way down here because of the frankly pretty screwy combat system, but it's still a very fun game and I like it a good deal despite such flaws.
10: Dragon Age: Origins: Closest new game to my favourite type of game that I've played in years, and I find the world and so forth interesting. The reason it's so far down is I'm just not really fond of the ability use/cooldown style of gameplay, though it does do it in a less annoying way than many.

Once again, in no order:
1.) Oblivion
Long; races, classes, and combat specializations give replayability. Dark Brotherhood ftw!
2.) Mass Effect 2
Jack and Miranda<3. And I love the depth of the story. It's truly a benchmark.
3.) Starcraft 2
It is pretty nice thus far.
4.) Warcraft 3
I loved all the customs.
5.) Tropico 3
If you think Udina is bad, wait till you see me as El Presidente! MUHAHAHAHA! Being both a man of the people and a systematic exploiter of them proved challenging.
6.) Overlord 2
I'm sorry, but burning down the elf hippie commune had me laughing for days.
7.) Saint's Row 2
Your standard GTA biteoff. I liked it though.
8.) Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts
This game was rather childish but I loved being able to build all kinds of crap and use it. I enjoyed the whole design and test process.
9.) Creeper World
Suprisingly good for and indie game.
10.) Civilazation Revolution
Aztecs ftw!

Okay, while unlike some elitists I don't think Civ Rev is a bad game (Hell, I think it's a great game in many ways), I find it dubious to place it above Civilizations 2-5. Tell me, have you played the "real" Civ games and you still like Civ Rev, or are you only putting Civ Rev down because it's your only Civ experience (and any Civ experience is better than 99% of all games)
