Hey there people

Was wondering if some-one on the forum could help me out with a problem I'm encountering playing BG2-SOA. I have completed the install of SOA , TOB and the patch for the latter. When I begin the game in Irenicus' Dungeon I encounter this error message, "..An assertion failed in Inf ScreenInventory.ccp at line number 9909.." when I try and equip some of the initial equipment that you pick up in the adjacent room.

I have tried soldiering on but I get kicked from the game every time and it happens pretty frequently with a range of different equipment. When Yoshimo joined my group I couldn't even click on his inventory without it resulting in the game shutting down. Starting to get really frustrated as I am desperate to complete the expansion of this classic.

If anyone has encountered this problem before please steer me in the right direction, tried looking for the patches on the Bioware site but it looks like they have been removed.

Any correspondance will be greatly appreciated

Also, what resolution and what mods? I think I remember a similar bug being a graphical issue.

In the past, this has commonly been a problem with using the 'unsupported' resolutions from BGConfig. Here's some good reference material, courtesy of frabjous.

hey guys, thanks for the feedback. Am currently running an unsupported resolution. Running no mods, only SOA with TOB expansion. Will sift through the reference material and let you know if I come right, frabjous touched on the exact issue I'm having so hopefully I can sort this out.

Got it working with standard resolution of 800x600, gonna try the widescreen mod just to enhance the visuals.
