I have DAO and Awakening with all DLC, on PC.  Bought DA2 on PS3, is there way to import save data from pc to ps3.

I really doubt it, you need the PC version for DA2

It'll ask you to during Character Creation. "Events of Dragon Age: Origins". Pick from the 3 or import your save, verify with the "Plot Summary" button.

Well I've got DA2 now and I'm not getting any sort of option to select a save to import.  When I got to start a new game, I select a character and it goes straight into the story with the ogre fight from the demo.

Can someone please help me, I don't want to start the game without carrying over the 70+ hr save from Origins!

dont worry after finishing the portion you play in the demo the option to import will start

Customer support directed me to this discussion, neither they nor anyone else seems to be able to answer this question.

*Exactly* when do you get to import your character? I've played until I've gotten in the city and met the dwarf and characters have reached 4th-level.

You import the same time you customize your face. After the chantry woman calls BS on Varric's story, he starts "from the beginning" and you import from within the "Events of Dragon Age" sub-menu.

Cyocide, Thanks. I wish they said that in the manual, it is pretty easy to miss and continue playing past.

 If you import a save file of Dragon Age 1, does it affect the level stats of Hawke in Dragon Age 2 or just the story?
Means Hawke and his companions wont start in Level 1?

It does not affect the starting level.
