Seriously, though...not counting my Shep it would have to be:

ME1: Wrex.
ME2: Jack or Samara.  Tough to choose although I think I might lean slightly to the latter.

Utility in combat? Miranda, something about being able to bust any type of shielding as well as being able to perform warp bombs with whatever class Shepard plays ass is just... well you have to play on insanity to understand.
