That is how it came across to me, especially since he singled out the night before Ilos very clearly

"Do you even remember that night before Ilos? That night meant everything to me... "

If they had actually been able to be together physically after that, I couldn't see him singling that night out in the way that he did.

I am sure there was still an emotional relationship, and stealing small intimate moments with each other when they could, but I really don't take it as them having been able to be together physically after that because of their work cleaning up the geth.

This is really just my opinion and interpretation.

I feel the same way.

... or maybe "later" actually meant "on the way from Shepard's cabin to the bridge".

Ah, that makes sense. I do remember that reference in the email - I suppose I just assumed he singled that out as their first time and perhaps because the intensity of the situation made it special.

I shouldn't assume so much ;-)

Still, I did like the idea of the Mako - you could have Wrex distract Garrus with war stories.

It is (intentionally or accidentally) left vague.  Kaidan will reference how the night before Ilos meant everything to him,  even if you send him away.  :innocent:

I was wondering how that worked out. So if you persue the relationship but don't do that deed ME2 still says you did?

The "night before Ilos" call out could also be explained if was their first night together, not just their only. It really could be argued either way.

True, it could be because it was their first, but the way its worded strongly hints otherwise for me.

It can be argued either way, and more than anything its really up to individuals to kind of go with what they think fits their Shep/Kaidan romance best.

For me I like to think they had just the one, special night before everything went to hell.

lol, I wonder if Wrex would be willing to do that? I could just see Shepard approaching him now...

"Uh Wrex... I have a favor to ask of you..."

"Out with is Shepard, I don't have time for games"

*whispers in ear, gesturing towards the mako*

Wrex shakes his head and makes a disgusted sound. "You humans are pathetic. But Ill do it only to annoy the Turian."

I wonder since korgan are so focus on breeding and having strong offspring, I wonder if Wrex ever approached Kaidan or Shepard concerned she wasn't knocked up yet.

Edit: At fireeye

I see it as one night. No more sex, nothing spoken out loud, but still a relationship. He was her closest in command and she would keep relying on him, but they were to professional to jump in the sack again.

Just being there for each other was enough. Until she died, that is. And I think he has alot to think about, but my Shep isn't going to talk him into it this time. He's scared, and he has a right to be, but for her to want him he needs to sort this one out on his own.

I doubt he really cares much about other species mating habits. I think he has too much to worry about with his own species mating habits to be concerned over wether or not Shep was going to produce offspring. (My Shep doesnt think it would be in her or the potential childs interest anyway, shes not very maternal, lol. XD)

I dunno the one special night appeals to me but I can't see them going a month or two without anything, I asked my other half what he thought and he just laughed and said don't be stupid of course they did it again, it was the first month of their relationship, they have been at it like rabbits, he's such a romantic ;-)

I asked my husband the same thing, and he said if we were both in the military (as he is, hes actually working on going into officer training soon) and on mission, it wouldn't happen. He said one, there wouldnt be much down time, and two, you would be damn exhausted if there was. Not to mention higher ups barking down your neck all the time. He said the enviroment is just way to stressful, and hed be happy to get a hug or cuddle once in awhile.

classy
Hell it might have came down to them just not having time to do it. Plus I don't see Kaidan as the "five minutes in the closet" kind of guy,

Wrex:  "Alenko.  As Shepard's battlemaster you'll have to apply to me for breeding rights.  I've had some other applications.  Send me your pedigree and we'll see how it goes."
Kaidan:  o.O

I think flying round space hunting down pockets of Geth would give more down time than a conventional modern type affair in fact I seem to remember some reference to the fact that most of the time they got there and the Geth had already gone or were very easy to supress. Could be wrong it's been a while since I played ME2, I prefer ME1, go figure :-).

Not saying you're wrong just that the comparison isn't necesarily a fair one.

I'm pretty sure it was just the one night with the intention of taking things further when they got shore leave, but this would surely never happen in real life... noone's *that* professional... are they?Image IPB  real life... definitely 'like rabbits'

Maybe starting a new thread was a bad idea.. Image IPB Discussing for a whole page Kaidan and Shepard possibly NOT doing it just doesn't feel like KAST.

I am not saying i'm right either. As I said before, I think its really open to interpretation and up to the individuals to decide which side fits their Shep/Kaidan story the best. :)

The one night thing is just my personal preference, I see their relationship as havng a very unique and stronger than normal mental and emotional bond, and the physcial side as having not gotten to be fully explored yet because of their surroundings, etc. It just fits my Shep and her frame of mind better.

You gotta think, too, that the first week or two after the attack on the Citadel was probably filled with paperwork and meetings and media stuff for Shepard. Nothing kills the mood quite like a day filled with paperwork and meetings.

I agree, I didn't get the impression that they were so busy at the start of ME2 that they didn't have time to catch up

Honestly I think the opposite it true, what better way to destress and forget the monotony of paperwork than some sexytime with her biotic god ;-)

If they are really creative and determined they could find away to get the paperwork done while having the sexytime.
