Put frankly, what are you talking about? You are the one telling Kaidan/Ashley that you are with Cerberus before they chew your head off. They're not believing any rumours before you confirm the rumours are true.
"Cerberus rebuilt me and I'm investiagating missing colonies =/= I'm Cerberus' puppet."
They're angry because you tell them you're with Cerberus now. And, you are! You are with Cerberus now. Tali and Garrus are also working for Cerberus. It doesn't much matter why Tali and Garrus would work for Cerberus, they are.
Ah yes and they don't think that it might be for a good reason? Like I said. Refusing to think beyond the surface and acting like a child with a black/white morality.
No, they're not family. Maybe family could be expected to be so insanely gullible as to think "Oh, I should hear this person out" after someone was dead for two years and suddenly turned up saying "Hey, how you been, I'm with Cerberus but it's for the right reasons". A normal person would tell you to go f*ck yourself if that happened.
Right because the normal person would've just seen humans being kidnapped en masse by aliens and you getting there to late to stop all of them. Yes totally not good reasons. Shep was just siting in a Cerberus base laughing as they made some husks. Yup.
I'm not trying to be as harsh as I may sound, the discussion is interesting and I enjoy getting your POV. To Kaidan/Ashley, joining Cerberus is like keeping the Collector Base for ParaShep. There isn't a situation where that could be justified. There's always a better way. Plus, you let them think that you were dead when you obviously weren't (you're standing there talking to them). Now, after thinking about it they still offer to hear you out but their knee-jerk reaction is WTF!?
Wrong. Its very in character for several paragon Shep's to keep the base. And the base
can be justified. It can be considered more to spit on the graves of the people who died to
not use that technology against the reapers than the other way around.
Hear me out? He keeps raving about Cerberus everytime I attempt to explain. Hearing someone out means jack squat if you're not going to let them fully explain before making judgement calls.
As for making calls: As neutral Shep says best "I was in some kind of coma while Cerberus rebuilt me."
Too much thinking indeed. The only logical conclusion in this situation is that Shep is full of sh*t. That's the only one that exists. Actually having someone reaching it makes me like the VS more (and Tali/Garrus alot less).
Indeed. The only logical conclusion is that the VS has a very childish view of morality and can't wrap his/her head around the fact that there might actually be something far more sinsiter at stake than big mean Cerberus. (Who the Alliance is probably working with to begin with but let's not get into that. <_< )
And it made me dislike the Virmire Survivor a lot more. Ra forbid you realize that things aren't as simple as Cerberus = bad Alliance = good. Ra forbid you realize that humans are being dragged off en masse and Shep's trying to tell you why but you can't help but
fixate on the people he's working with. Nevermind the fact that what he's working on should be something the damn Alliance should be doing something about but their sitting on their asses tied up in bureacacy. And the only reason they're on Horizon on the first place is because they think big bad Cerberus is going to kidnap people.
