Oh yeah, absolutely. That wipe of the forehead, that slow, drawn out pause while he turns to face Shep ...

I've heard it time and time again, the amount of people who say when their dude Shep first went to speak with Kaidan at his work bench they were certain he was bi/gay. (And not just from people like me - who actively wish for that scenario - but also from people who aren't looking for that content and who probably wouldn't play it if it were there either.)

Those looks  he gives mShep give me more fuel for my fic, at any rate

The rendering of arms is a pet peeve of mine (in ME1 and 2). So Shep's pretty well built, and his arms are nice and muscular, but when he crosses his arms they are out of proportion and look way too skinny. Like when he wakes up in the med bay after Eden Prime, and leans back and crosses his arms - too skinny. Or when he does the same in the comm room - too skinny. Happens in ME2 as well, often in the comm room (or whatever it's called). And ever since I noticed it, I can't unsee it >.<

That's one thing I don't think I could do. Sure, leave him at the bomb in order to get a save game romancing Ash, but deny him my love? Couldn't do it. You're a stronger woman than I.

i always get ash blown up... love kai too much

Alas... i keep sending him to fight with the salarians... that might send him a bit loopy though.

I've only done it the once (my most recent playthrough ... just started Horizon (lol) last night to see the Ash scene). I'll NEVER do it again. Even in my solitary Liara playthrough Ash went splat. Nothing against Ash, not at all, I think she's a great character ... but Kaidan ... oh Kaidan

Well, I figure it was better to have him survive Virmire unromanced and see if he's available in ME3, for her to see the error of her overly professional ways and finally see Kaidan as something other than her LT.



Otherwise, this Shep is Joker's who I hope to God will be romance-able in ME3, but that's a different thread.

Thanks And you know what, Mass Effect needs more bunnies. We've got pyjak monkey things, Klixen Rachni-replacements, adorable varren, some fish, thieving space cows, and a lone, solitary space hamster. For the love of all things glittery and covered in rainbows, where are the bunnies??? D:

On that subject, do you think Kaidan likes animals? Is he the type of guy who would have a pet (obviously not right now, what with still being on active duty)? If so, what kind of pet would he have? Or does he think pet ownership is cruel? Or does he just not care for animals? Or is he indifferent?

(This post needs moar Kaidan in bunny ears ... dammit, I can't find the pic I want *stomps foot*)

He appears to me as a dog-type person. I'm having no problem imagining him having a huge (and well-behaved) dog like a boerboel or a french mastiff following him obediently around .

Apparently I'm alone in thinking he's rather indifferent to animals. For one, I doubt a dog or cat (or hamster -- that's why Nimitz is always hiding from Avery) could handle the resonance biotics are supposed to give off constantly, for another, he's been on space stations or ship board most of his adult existence, and for some of his teen years, most definitely away from animal life.

So, to me, that means indifference due to lack of experience.

actually Sia, I agree with you. I don't think he dislikes animals and he could probably learn to get along with most of them, but he can just as easily go through life without ever having a pet and not being sad about it. and that's considering that one of my fantasies is to see him and Urz napping together while waiting up for Shepard to come back to the cabin from some particularly long meeting or something.

do it anyway.  so what if its not perfect, enjoy it, have fun with it, its just another way to express yoursel,f not every drawing must be a masterpiece.  that's the beauty of fanfiction and self expression, you can take it as far as you wish.
