Meh. Personally, I'm not interested in DA2 so I'll be here off and on like usual. 

What's keeping the thread more quiet than it has been is probably the large amount of nothing we've had to go on.

<--been practicing drawing, but still waiting for my new prismacolor pencil set to come in. Kaidan is actually starting to sorta look like Kaidan. Gimme a week or so and I'll drown you in drawings again...be very afraid

Lol. I thought I was the only one who felt that way. In fact, we have the exact same thoughts right down to dealing with Zevran romance. I had to be a guy in order to not romance Alistair, and even then he melts my heart.

But then this is the Kaidan thread, so happy Valentine's day guys! Kaidan for everyone!

Yeah, I am looking forward to DA2, and the various romances, but my troo-video-game-boyfriend-wuv will always be Kaidan.  The moment we get new info, I will be in here, squeeing or crying.

But at the moment, I need to distract myself.  It's too easy to fall into negative thinking about the possible outcomes for ME3 if I dwell on it.  Hopefully I'll wake up one day and some AWESOME news will draw me back in.  Goodness knows, I've daydreamed about it...

This one is still my wallpaper for almost a year now (must be....) It is just beautiful  And still one of the very, very best.... <3
I am interested in the LI for DA2 but can abandon Kaidan as Sia says it is a different reality

I too spent Valentine's playing DA, but for me it's the first time. I'm trying to wear that Archdemon down, so who has time for romance??  My man is very understanding indeed..

But I need to get back to ME soon, I've lost Kaidans voice.  I don't hear it in my head when I write anymore, and so there's no writing. Can you imagine, not hearing that voice for... weeks..?!

Kinda made me wonder though, will Bioware ever hire Sbarge again to voice a LI once the ME trilogy is finished? Kaidan got a lot of hate for just being associated with Carth because of this voice (crazy I know), so that probably killed any chance of Sbarge getting a LI part again. Question is, do we even want to hear it again? Personally I wouln't mind it if there's enough time between the ME trilogy and the new game. I think it would be stranger to hear Sbarge voicing some party member without being a LI

I love his voice...it adds a certai apeal to him..and i cant imagine Sbarge's voice being anything else than a LI

Yeah, if that voice is there I need to romance it.. Him.. Uh.. You know..

And I do want to hear it again, so I hope they'll use him more times. I like Garrus' voice too, but it's not quite as hot in my opinion.


Edit/ BTW, I don't think it's a problem that some people confuse Kaidan/Carth. It's a really weak reason to dislike a character, and I honestly doubt Bioware takes it seriously. To most people who dislike Kaidan, the voice isn't the issue.

I love that pick of Kaidan being all kickass and Sbarge is actually more likely to get stuck as LI again - there's a huge number of people who fell in love with Kaidan on first word, BECAUSE he had Carth's voice. and to be perfectly honest, as much as I adore my husband, Sbarge's voice is just...lets just say, his wife is a lucky woman to hear that voice on a daily basis

in a way I'd like for him to get less type cast in voice overs...and dread it at the same time. as an actor, he's far too good at playing sleazebags and perverts O_O

edited to add - Keener's voice is great, but its that metalic twang they add that makes it outstandingly sexy to me   not as sexy as Kaidan, but damn close :innocent:

This is the reason that repeats everywhere almost as often as "bland". I know it was discussed many times, but everytime I see "Kaidan is Carth" crap, I'm struggling to write a word there as well. Or leave a VS Bingo chart there.

I agree, a lot of people seem miffed about those two characters sharing a voice. But it's like a lot of people being very vocal about not liking Hale or Meer, at the end of the day companies go with talent. You need to listen to fans, but you can't bend over backwards.
Plus, a lot of fans really find that voice sexy as h*ll...

I associate that voice with Kaidan so strongly now it would be weird to hear him in the next BW game as someone else ... especially if that wasn't an LI, but heck, I guess I'd cope (and go fire up ME1 again ).

That said ... and please don't hate me ... sometimes, just sometimes, I wish Kaidan wasn't quite as whispery/hoarse as he is. Most of the time it's just sexy smouldering yum, but on occasion ... like if he's doing angry!Kaidan, sometimes I find it a tad too whispery. But I'm aware I am probably in the minority
