I saw that, I can't believe they did that. Was the whole writing team replaced from Mass Effect? Because I can't see anyone from the team that brought me my favorite game of all time writing **** like that and asking people to pay money for it. That is some lazy **** and stuff like that is no better than the worst pieces of fanfiction.

The lead writer was transferred or transferred himself to BioWare's Star Wars game.

The harder sci-fi writer (and Ashley's writer) left while ME2 was still in development, and some of his stuff got rewritten after he'd left.

Kaidan's writer was transferred to Dragon Age.

I think the rest of the team is the same, although apparently the gameplay or level design folks wrote the entire Normandy non-squad crew because the game was rushed and no one else could do it on the timestable.

ETA: Whoops.  Here, have the smiley Kaidan.

now, I'm completely terrified. I'm gonna go drown myself in Midori Sours while replaying my favorite Shepard through ME1 :/ bah... Maybe if I color that portrait of Kaidan instead of Liara's like I planned .... away from forums, before I get too angry and depressed to enjoy the games :/

I'd like to join you on the banks of Lost Hope; I'll sip my drinks while cuddling my Kaidan and Boone plushies, pondering why videogame hunks become even more attractive with unavailability and absence.

I've been spurned by Bioware. They completely used me when the Elder Scrolls wasn't there for me and made me feel special again. But after the beginnings of courtship, our relationship soured when they found a new mistress: EA and their best friend, the shooter players. And I gradually felt forced out of the relationship.

I now return to Bethesda, completely shamed and used. I'm starving for companionship and aching for someone that understands and cherishes me. And Bethesda has taken me back, despite my infidelity. This, my friends, is true love.

You're biased.  ;)

But yes, that was an awesome analogy.  Too bad I don't like Bethesda.

I think "the ultimate sacrifice" is related to TIM. He is very pro-human to pay such price, plus Shepard can even persuade Saren to shoot himself, plus ME:Evolution.

Yes, I'm very optimistic.

I'm even so optimistic that even if neither DLC nor ME3 will present VS in a fair, for my opinion, role I won't rage on forums. I just won't buy both those pieces also as BioWare games anymore... too good Skyrim will also be released in similar time.

Cool. They're going to kill off the VS as I suspected -.-

*kills with fire*

:lol::lol::lol::lol:

They're not kiiling off the VS. They had plot armor in ME2 so that they'd be around for ME3.

Better trolling next time...

Knowing who Namira is I assume she suggested to kill with fire the person who is going to kill off the VS, not the VS themselves... so definitely not trolling

Thing is, in an advert for the comic, tIM was hailed as "an important character" for ME3.  Although, that said, I doubt the "ultimate sacrifice" is going to be Kaidan or Ashley either.

chocolate! or coffee? ummm, it depends on which flavor is my favorite on any given day? :P I'm trying to convince people that they their hate for Kaidan and Ashley based on horizon is irrational :P I do "enjoy" fighting losing battles O_O

edited to add Kaidan's WIP portrait  (its really sad that it took me forever to get just that simple linework down and it still doesn't look exactly like him O_O) that I will replace once I color it

and Sylvianus - <3  (any relation to Dark Lady aka the Banshe queen? or does it just sound kinda similar? O_O )

Keep the faith people, there is still hope. Keep the stock of beer for later. Or to celebrate a new, or to mourn together. But this is not the time ! :D

For my part, I do not believe at all in the sacrifice of a character in a dlc. Bioware has a strict policy of equal opportunity for the survival of each character impportant.

And especially, we already had the opportunity to sacrifice Kaidan / Ashley in Mass Effect, it would really heavy and repetitive if it occurs in M2

I think "abandon the hope of seeing Kaidan in anything that has "ME2" in it's name". Yes, I said that. Again.

i like this theory. or it could be someone like anderson.

i'm getting to the point where my hopes re: the VS are rather low. not in a negative way, just in a "sigh" sort of way. the demographic for ME is clearly NOT me, so I sort of take what I can get from it and like it. they will likely never feature femshep, doubtfully will feature the VS in anything more than a "wrapping up" cameo - sort of a shortened LotSB? - and well, as long as it's a decent end to the story (shep can live, the LI of choice can live, and the reaper threat is held off, whether permanently or for a few thousand years). <-- that's my rather small hope at this time.

You guys will be busy regardless of what BW does with it, you know they won't go into nearly enough detail in game. Posted Image

I for one firmly believe that they have a great plan for Shepard and Kaidan =) it's been a pretty good lovestory so far and they have said that they wanted to keep him away from the suicide mission so that's why he's not in ME2. Don't believe that they would make us sad now =)   I've got DA2 to tide me over until the return of Kaidan. And I'm sure that either there  will be someone to keep my Hawke company while Shepard takes a break =)

That said I would love to just hear snippets of info of what's up in ME3..... or VS dlc... But they like to keep us guessing.

Edit: Wasn't thinking so it got a bit spoilery, sorry about that

Please watch DA2 spoilers in this thread.  There are lots who DO NOT want to know who the companions are.

morning all. the sun is shining outside, we got hit back, my throat feels like only have of it was scraped against the pavement instead of the entire thing and I'm back to being optimistic. I think Bioware will give us a resolution, it might not be a happily ever after resolution but it at a minimum will be liara style resolution. explanations and arguments will happen. they might not give us all the options that we might wish for, but they will give us some options. and for the rest, like you all said - there's fan fiction.
