positive thoughts guys! >_> I actually wish we could keep both Ash and Kaidan, Ash really grew on me, especially after playing a renegade femshep - they are like to peas in a pod in their snark :/

and since its a new page - I think thorian might be getting to Kaidan O_O


I love Mercenary armor, one of the best looking armors in ME1 IMO.

I tried torturing my squad with phoenix armor once (in Kahoku mission you end up getting full complement, whether you like it or not >_> ) I think I lasted like 5 minutes? I could almost see Kaidan facepalming while Wrex was eying his shotgun a little too intently >_>

Eh.  My general appreciation for any given game can be gameplay, story, world, or character based.  ME1, I loved them all.

ME2 stripped away my appreciation for gameplay, story, and world... so what's left is like... the fate of three, maybe four characters I happened to like (both Kaidan and Ashley included in that number).  All of which seem to be somehow not interesting enough for the current dev team.

Normally, I dodge information (and do it quite well), but given how I went into ME2 blind and got burned... Damn straight I'm reading spoilers this time around.


Fortunately, I got ME1 forever and ever and ever.

 I've posted once or twice but mostly lurk here. I decided I should speak up more often. Mainly because I do love me some Kaidan and there isn't nearly enough of him in ME2.

As far as spoilers go...I played ME and ME2 back to back for the first time in August. It was a long weekend and my family was out of town. It was amazing. I didn't have any spoilers...I had no idea what to expect! I'm hoping for ME3 to keep the spoilers to a minimum...but its hard. I was going to try that with DAII...and I know wayyy more than I want to know. I don't even go to the DAII forums.

I'm cautiously optimistic that this new DLC has something to do with the Alliance and will therefore have some Kaidan (or Ashley) in it. If not I'll just be cautiously optimistic about ME3.

It does feel like Kaidan and Ashley don't get much love. I don't get how people think Kaidan is boring though. He's a normal human being with a past. I guess in space relatively normal = boring? I'll never understand.

Me too, lol. I am currently sucking up every last bit of DA info........... I see no reason to be any different when ME3 is close to release

I can't keep spoiler free, I have to know everything, but for me knowing doesn't ruin anything really I enjoy the games far too much to worry about spoilers or whatever, so yeah, probably I'm not gonna be spoiler free

Part of me wants to go straight for the tragic ending. I'm a sucker for them. Makes me see how much I really care/cared about particular characters in the end.
Plus riding off into the sunset doesn't compute in my head with Bioware games.

At least not without some sort of price.

I fully intend to go into ME3 blind as a bat. I don't want any spoilers, including anything to do with Kaidan. I want him back in ME3, but I also know my propensity to dwell and my insatiable curiosity. It's pretty much all or nothing for me, and I don't want to "ruin" my ME3 experience because I couldn't wait to experience it firsthand.

I played ME1 late, and had friends who had spoiled parts for me there. But I went into ME2 completely blind. I didn't even know that Shepard died. That was phenomenal to watch firsthand, without any expectation that it was going to happen. It's probably why I tend to prefer ME2 to ME1. I was along for the full ride because I had no clue what was going to happen.

I had the same experience with DA:O. I've been doing my best to do the same for DA2, but there are people who seem hellbent and determined to continually slip about companions and love interests. It's very off-putting. Especially since I only browse two threads, in the Mass Effect forums.

I did something weird in my game...



I made kaiden like the mordin solus of Mass effect.



maxed his neural shock and first aid =)

But gave him master throw. though i wish i got lift as that works against saren in the last battle.

I'm not sure why it took me this long to discover, but...why is Kaidan nicer to my femshep that didn't romance him? when I come and bug him for personal input on my main shep, he tells me that he wasted enough of my time, but when I visit him on my super professional, never fraternizes with anyone shep - he tells her that the crew is 100% behind her all the way. nuts o_O

Hmm... don't think that I've heard it before but does anyone know who writes Kaidan for ME3? Just curious. Would be fun to know what the writer has written before. Don't remember hearing anything about that.

Maybe if he falls for femshep, he'd go on a biotic frenzy just like he did before when he killed that turian.

he and jack may... clash a bit (that is if there male shep romance for him eventually)
