I agree with Jenova, Kaidan feels more real than other LIs.

I did the same thing! DA:O was my first BioWare game. I still love Alistair (& Zevran) a lot. I love Fenris in DAII (rival is best). Kaidan is still my absolute favorite though. I really think it's because he's a very level headed, normal, real character.

Horizon had a sort of autumn grass harvest look to it.  This just looks like any of the N7 rocky terrain planets with green grass and a compound.

It's more just really vague.  It could be Horizon, just a different area and then there's any seasonal change.  But at that level of effort, it really could be anywhere.

I think the biggest argument for Arrival having the VS is that it is an Alliance DLC.  But it still doesn't make a lot of sense that they wouldn't advertise it as "reconnect with Kaidan or Ashley" like they did with Liara if that's the case.  Nor would revisiting Horizon make much sense, since according to Anderson, Kaidan/Ashley reported back to the Council as they said they would...

I've never thought they were going to make a VS DLC.  Always thought they were waiting for ME3.  Never bothered me, as I figured they had their plot all set up already.

(The lack of ability have my Shepard mention the VS she was missing, now, that annoyed me.  Whole other rant though.)

There might be something at the end which gives us a lead on what Kaidan or Ashley have been up to for the past 2-3 years, though, and that might be nice.  Not too much longer to wait and see, though.

As funny as that is, it's true.  Even if it was Horizon, why would Kaidan even still be there?  Unless the Alliance neglects him as badly as Bioware does. <_<

Well I noticed I'm really looking forward to the DLC and have my hopes up for something VS related, it cannot be helped...I'm weak. Yes, I shamefully admit I see Kaidans around every ME corner and cannot resist that little voice in my head going "Maybe...what if....possibly...could be..." and then I go "Pffttt...no...just no."
Yes, I shamefully admit to having Kaidan related conversations in my head as well. I am doomed, and have been for some time now. 
Even when seeing a certain kissing scene in DA2 made me go "Oh boy, what if they did something similiar in ME3 with Kaidan." So yes again, I shamefully admit comparing new LI's to Kaidan as well. It's rather immersion breaking but again I'm doomed.

I need ME3 and some conclusion before I'm at the point of no return and will end up in a nice white jacket with straps and those lovely long sleeves that make you hug yourself

Jho...You are not alone I feel very similar about it...and yeah, I compare everything and everybody with Kaidan as well and even when I enjoy the romances in DA 2...
When Anders kissed my Hawke the first time....*sighs*....It was... wow...and the second thought was: I want to see Kaidan so passionate with my Shepard as well ....
As soon I have the chance to see Kaidan ...I would forget about all other games...Kaidan is my number one favorite LI...LOL...and I have to admit I was skeptic first, because I rather like the north european type...^^...and now I'm haunted by these chocolate brown eyes...*sighs again*...

hi guys. been a while since i dropped by the kaidan love thread gutter here. but i finally got some writing time in and updated the fanfic. this is the first of the final chapters: Endgame 1: Pilot.


um, it's actually no alenko in this chapter, but that guy ^. still, it's heading on to a kaidanified ending.

i'm hoping against hope someone wonderful and younger than hackett will show up in Arrival. or maybe just hint to tell us what the VS has been up to since the place that shall not be named that begins with a HOR.

here's hoping, right?

oh, edit: sorry, i forgot to leave an offering of kaidan in the alms box. we poor fans don't have nearly enough kaidan. bring on the DLC, bioware! we need more screenshots!:

So for s&g, I decided to check the wiki page for Arrival, and for the description it said that Shepard had to rescue a deep cover agent from bartarian space. What if this deep cover agen it our Virmire survivor!? Squeee!

Hi Everyone. A day late because I got caught up in DA2 but here we go…
This prompt is from Chaos715. Everyone know how much I hate Horizon. It is also known that I won’t talk about Horizon. When I asked everyone to write an argument prompt, I made it a point that it could not be about Horizon. Well turns out… I’m not the only one.

Everybody hates Horizon, so maybe we could pretend Horizon never happened. How should have Kaidan and Shepard's reunion gone? Where would it happen and what would be said instead?

Deep cover implies no one knows the person is an agent.  The best spies and operatives are the ones you never assume.

Kaidan, on the other hand, probably has much notoriety as Shepard had in ME1 these days.  People would constantly be going, "Hey, aren't you that Alenko guy?  You saved the Citadel!  You're famous!" and in the case of villains, "Hey, aren't you that Alliance War Hero?  Get him!"

It's not impossible for him to be an (the) operative, just that undercover doesn't really call for a well known person.  Unless he's like... only staging himself as an Alliance soldier, and is really a Cerberus operative, which would be unpleasant to me.
