I'm still hanging onto that shred of hope (after all, why would  they have a scientist as a deep cover agent? It's a dangerious task for someone w/o military training...).

Deep cover implies no one knows the person is an agent.  The best spies and operatives are the ones you never assume.

Kaidan, on the other hand, probably has much notoriety as Shepard had in ME1 these days.  People would constantly be going, "Hey, aren't you that Alenko guy?  You saved the Citadel!  You're famous!" and in the case of villains, "Hey, aren't you that Alliance War Hero?  Get him!"

It's not impossible for him to be an (the) operative, just that undercover doesn't really call for a well known person.  Unless he's like... only staging himself as an Alliance soldier, and is really a Cerberus operative, which would be unpleasant to me.

true. the kasumi DLC just made me laugh. apparently, no one suspects shep in an LBD.

True, I suppose.  And BioWare's gonna write whatever they want to write however they want to write it, regardless.  Hackett could strap the VS along for the ride from the very start, as well.  There's no telling.

Including Shep herself it seems But yeah that was a bit..um..odd. So slap some casuals on Kaidan and he's the best undercover agent in the verse, you know...like Bond
But I agree with what's been said before, if the VS were in the DLC it would be advertised as such I'm sure. Or maybe they want to keep it quiet so they can sell it to the haters as well.

However, maybe they're in it but their role isn't that big so it's not worth hyping. Then again, Bioware tends to hype all sorts of stuff lol
Luckily we don't have to wait too long to find out what it's about

At least I took the day after it comes out off rather than the day of release. Hopefully by the time I get home after work some of you will have played it and will let us know yay or nay on Kaidan in the DLC

Smart move Hmm, I may end up replaying ME2 all together if the DLC is any good. If Kaidan is in it, it will be great to have something filling the void between his mail and well...ME3 I guess. A reference, new mail or whatever would be great as well as long as it does him justice and he's recognized as a LI this time around should they do those references again.
Heck, even hearing Lance Henriksen say Commander Alenko when you talk to Hackett would be fantastic! Specially if he tells Shepard they will be assigning Kaidan to the Normandy SR-3 as an Alliance liaison. (because I doubt Bioware can resist giving us a new ship)

Atm my Tuesdays are free in the afternoon - perfect for BW releases. So I am really looking forward to coming home from my Tuesday meeting and having Arrival available. Even though I have my doubts, I'm still hoping for a little Kaidan news. (Hope springs eternal!)

If he's in it I'll be one happy bunny considering I have lugged my PC downstairs and plugged it into the big TV. Oh the FRAPPING opportunities...either way I can't wait for something to do with JenShep, she's been twiddling her thumbs in my 100% playthrough for months now!

I just finished my speed run on ME1 on veteran but I'm not sure I want to slog through ME2 again...not enough pretty distractions

Yay, DLC!  Unfortunately, I doubt Kaidan will have a huge role. If he was a lead character in the DLC, they would probably mention him.

I will be surprised, however, if he's not featured at all. It would be expensive bringing two VA's in for a few lines, but I'm hoping Bioware will feel that it's worth it. If not, I understand, but they have gone the extra mile on other occations so fingers crossed...

That's for sure...  I started wondering what cannon fodder mercs looked like under their helmets by the end of the game. 

Maybe it's a scheme to get us considering an alien? That would explain the unkind treatment Mr Taylor suffered by the writers as well.

Hi Everyone. A day late because I got caught up in DA2 but here we go…

I love seeing Kaidan score high in those polls. But I don't know if the devs look much at those. They probably put more store in their precious stats from gameplay :/

Don't even get me started on those stats.  Mining them out of ME2 only means they can pretty much manipulate them to show whatever they want them to. 

But we beat that topic to death in KAAS awhile ago.

Now that could be a hilarious DLC, with the crew placing bets and whatnot and people getting restless hoping Shep will pick them...lol But I agree, a formal party with Kaidan and Shepard would be squee worthy. Especially since both would be a bit uncomfortable I'm sure
