Absolutely!  Even the fact that they put a picture of Ashley in the article at all gives me hope...it means that Bioware isn't pretending the Virmire Survivor ceased to exist after Horizon anymore.

I'm going to worry about the "some extent" quote later.  It could mean that that James Sanders guy is your tutorial level squadmate who bites the dust after twenty minutes.  It could mean that we don't get Liara/Ash/Kaidan until after a certain event.  I'm cool with that sort of scenario.

Right now I am just thrilled.  Best spoiler to wake up to, ever!

I'm fine with that too, would make sense as well. I'm really dying to know where it's all going now that my mind has been put to ease about the squadmember stuff. Part of me is scared as hell to find out while the other can't stop squeeing lol

Exactly! I'm hardly the most optimistic person here but I do find this bit of news is something that gives me hope for ME3.

ME2 will continue to stay in my shelf and collect dust, though.

Im so glad its been announced in Game Informer

This should have been addressed in ME2. Still no getting around that. But its nice that they were courteous for a change to specifically list the VS as one the first confirmed features of ME3.

Ah its my birthday tomorrow and this is the best birthday present ever! Well not ever but darn close!!! I'm so so so psyched for ME3 now and I'm wondering if they've spruced Kaidan up any, after seeing that wonderful picture of Ashley (always wondered what her hair looked like out of its bun )

Halle-freaking-lujah, I'll have my boy back together again!! 8 months to go...crap...

This kind of scares me "who you have in your squad and which allies you recruit can have a drastic effect on which are available." I don't want to have to drop Kaidan out of my squad just to get a happier/better ending. Though I'm sure Kaidan would be a squadmate who would help a situation rather then hurt it. As oppose to Garrus/Jack/Grunt/Zaeed or some of the more "renegade" squadmates.

And I really want to see this screenshot of Ash with her hair down. Wonder what changes are in store for our favorite space wizard. Armor upgrade? How about a bigger gun?

I just hope they go back to taking off their armor when they are abroad the Normandy, like they did in ME1. Nothing would be more awkward then trying to makeout with Kaidan while he is waring full armor.

Almost sounds as if say, you recruit Miranda, Kaidan won't join you or vice versa. (Cerberus/Alliance) Something in that direction. I can see some people not being happy about the Alliance and serving on such a ship, or if you're pro-Cerberus it could have an impact on who's available to recruit as well.

Wonder how the cheating is going to be mixed in that, because Kaidan not joining if you recruit your ME2 LI seems a bit...shallow I mean it all comes down to Shepard and her team to save the day. Having Kaidan say 'No, you cheated, I can't trust you anymore so I won't join you" (or something along those lines) just sounds off

My mind would explode if I had to think of ways to implement all characters/plots and whatnot in ME3...seriously.

Kind of off Topic: Miranda resigns from Cerberus when TIM tells Shepard to keep the Collector base. But yeah I think you might be right. It will probably come down to rejoining the Alliance or not. Glad that all my Shepards, paragon and renegade are Alliance loyalist for better or worst. Then again if Kaidan tells Shepard he is siding with the Vorcha, she'll follow suit. xD

Hmm...all out sentinel team? I feel sorry for the Reapers lol

I just used Miranda as an example while wondering what the article meant I just hope they won't rotate squadmembers so every single one of them gets a few minutes of spotlight, or something. I dunno, it's fun to think about choices and consequences but it's rather mindboggling
