Wow, I might have to go grab that mag just to see that Kaidan pic IRL, he is looking fine. So excited to see him in ME3 it is kinda pathetic!

Great to see so many different posters in here  

Since I haven't done this yet, I want to say Thank You to Bioware for not only giving us confirmation this early in the PR schedule and setting our minds at ease, but also for using the VS in really the first big reveal for ME3. After the long wait and the cameo/DLC silence, it's just nice to see such a gesture from you guys, intentional or not
So again Thank You!!

About the 'to some extent', it can mean so many things. Maybe Kaidan won't join right from the beginning of the game, after all they have some issues that need adressing too. Maybe it's not about everybody on that list of confirmation...I can see it apply to Sanders, who we know nothing about, that he may join Shepard for a certain mission.
The fact that Kaidan is on the same list as Garrus, who's probably the most loved character of the series (yes even more than Tali since she gets as much hate as she does love), makes the 'some extent' less of a problem for me.
Heck Garrus was a squadmate 'to some extent' in ME2 as well if you didn't recruit him first. You could play for a long time before picking him up
Sure the magazine could have made seperate lists with names that are confirmed as full squadmates and those who just tag along for a mission or something, but that would prolly give away too much content wise

I think recruiting may be like we saw in ME2. There might be a mission leading up to Kaidan's recruitment, where the choices you make lead to him joining you or not, factoring in past choices (like cheating somehow). Thus he'll be recruitable 'to some extent' because if you make the wrong choices, he won't be joining you and thus isn't a squadmate Which I'm sure will be the same for the rest of the team you need to build again. To some extent they can be squadmates, but not if you make certain choices.

Think it's the lighting, there's very little detail to be seen on his face...even his eyes are hard to make out. Any wrinkles, lines, scars or whatever are blurred out by the quality of the scan as well as the bright light. Hmm, next time my photo is taken, I'll ask for some bright light and a huge flash, so I look younger too
They are listing Kaidan's age in his profile on the site, can't imagine them making him look younger than he did originally because imo he looked his age

You know, my mind is wrestling with the whole 'cheating will have major consequences in me3' thing. Maybe Kaidan, like Tali in ME2, will have his own responsibilities in ME3 which make it harder for him to join you and only those who romanced him (faithfully) will get extra dialogue options that can persuade him to join you on the Normandy. If not, he fights the Reapers on some other ship/whatever.
Or maybe when say, Anderson, suggests Kaidan rejoining Shepard he will politely refuse if you cheated and instead command his own ship..or something.

Argh, that cheated has consequences thing is driving me mad lol

Yeah, I know there's a lot of reflective lighting from the scan. I'll just have to check it out tomorrow at work. It's really amazing to see him on a full page spread in Game Informer though!

Could also be like LOTSB, get him as a squadmate in some missions, but not in all. I hope not though, I'm not a Kaidanmancer (sweet Liara love is my thing), but I saved him virtually every playthrough. Always my best pal on the ship, the guy I could actually have a damn conversation with.

I think the consequences would be tied to dialogue options, maybe a missing side mission? and extra content/character development for those who romanced him and stayed faithful?

i really have no idea but it seems silly to me to have kaidan say: "you know hon...since you cheated on me i wont be joining you to fight the ultimate bad guys...i'll go fight them alone..."
since he knows that Shep is the best thing the universe has at that point to defeat the reapers (What? according the game not my personal opinion lol...even tho if we can judge them right...Shep IS the best option... )
and the consequences have not been referred to conect with the war itself...so maybe as you say he wil not be romancable...

I don't think that "cheating" would cloud his common sense to the point where he won't stand being around Shepard. That would be unreasonable. Kaidan's never unreasonable.

Yeah, that's what I said yesterday too...Kaidan not joining you because you cheated makes no sense. But today my mind is going over different possibilities to see if I can make it work, but I can't lol 
Kaidan will do his duty, regardless of his personal feelings towards Shepard. But what is his duty exactly? Who's to say he needs to be on the Normandy to serve humanity the best he can, why won't it be a choice for him to make (and for us to persuade him to make) just because we know Shepard will save the day?

hehe my mind is just going bananas, I need to focus on other stuff and put it all to rest for a bit

LOL...Yeah, the right lighting does make someone look younger ^^

Well, you know I think Kaidan could read a shopping list (we talked about that before here ^^) and my Shepard would just swoons and would want to do plenty of things with him, instead of shopping ^^. I rarely have the opportunity to listen to such a sexy voice...I melt anytime listening to him...♥

Oh his voice is more than that, I'm sure...I would pay Sbarge to do some VO work for things like messenger services on a phone, or wake up messages for my alarm clock etc etc..rofl

A good voice just empowers (sp) a character so much. Both Carth and Kaidan could just have said 'Hi' and it would have been enough to make my main characters faint

Ok so i'm not paying attention flrma few days and then BLAM! It took me 3 pages to find out what was going on.

Wow! Just W-O-W! My excitement for ME3 is back in a big, big way now! I knew my eternal optimism would be rewarded, I love you Bioware! I LOVE YOU!

Hmm, I just hope they bring it out whilst I'm still on maternity leave, then I can get my mum to watch the baby while i play it.
