Universe's quickest reconciliation. I love Bioware's dialogue, but sometimes actions speak louder than words. Plus, we have fanfiction for our angst. But an interrupt option would be nice so that way you can get the whole talk or get right to the point .

LOL, I hadn't thought of that, definately like...at least for some of my Shepard's.  I don't expect a huge discussion I just want things resolved early on in the game.

You know, getting an interrupt option during the 'let's talk about us' dialogue...would be...would be....well I don't know, freaking amazing?

Like the rivalmance with Fenris. There's no interrupt, but when you talk and Hawke grabs his arm "So you're just going to leave?" and he pushes her back into a wall and then the tension before the kiss...oh yes!
Something like that would work ...for me at least  lol

So I was thinking about it. I think what happens is Anderson and ashley/kaidan help you in the beginning. The earth trial prologue thing. Then it's up to your past decisions if ashley/kaidan stick around or go command another ship as an ally or something of yours but not directly ON the ship.

I hope there's something for staying faithful to.  I hope they at least give Kaidan and Shepard some alone time, early in the game, to work out their issues and set the relationship on the right track, maybe a sweet hug at the end or a kiss.  Liara fans got to do that at the end of LOTSB, so I think they at least owe us that much.  I think  their relationship does deserve a little special treatment...just a little, after all we didn't get an entire DLC for Kaidan.

I can see it now.  Kaidan walks into femSheps captain's suite and sees the picture of him on the desk.  He asks femShep why she kept it.  She say, "You don't know.  I still love you."  Kaidan says "Can we work it out and work together?"  FemShep says, "Alistair and the warden did."

That seems to be the best option out there with how to handle it.  Gives us who've been faithful the option of having them around as we want to and those who didn't have that vacancy for someone else on ship.

Not meaning to derail, but what is this a reference to in DA?  I only bothered with DA:O and was less than thrilled with some storyline paths so I've not bothered with the rest of the franchise.

Not to derail, but I noticed something quite hilarious.

Rafael Sbarge (Otherwise known as the glorious voice of Kaidan Alenko) has guest starred on hit TV show 'Burn Notice'

Now, one of the characters on Burn Notice, Sam Axe, is played by Bruce Campell. And as we all know, Bruce Campell is most famous for his role in 'Army of Darkness' where he played.

edited to add, Kaidan always had pretty curly hair.  its visible even in ME1 on higher resolutions - and I've always thought it was the origin of headbump, becasue curly hair tends to take on strange shapes when not cut short enough

well guess i should have played the first one on higher resolution, didn actuly notice a difference in the 2, but from the picture in the 3 it realy hard to miss, they even look a bit greecy. Well i dont support all the change of our VS but still nice to see a evolution XD

It was just a silly reference to some old fan fiction that the thread has facepalmed over.  Kaidan is such a horrible person, he attacks Shepard and her new love interest and steals her mutant babies, you see.

In all seriousness, I hope Kaidan's role in ME3 is such that even the haters can tolerate him.  Or at least stop bashing him.  But he doesn't appear to have any new tattoos, large scars, or cybernetic accoutrements, so who knows.  Maybe it would be best if he's killable upon meeting him, so that those who are inclined get their wish.

And my opinion of Kaidan's ME3 hair is not set until I see him in game.  That pic is really low quality, and the renders may not reflect what we see later on.  Too soon to tell.
