I tend to take Kaidan with me on big missions where I know there'll be cutscenes, but I like to rotate through my squad so I feel like a captain that knows her crew. There was this one mission where I took both Liara and Tali with me for an all-girl group and we got surprised by a Thresher Maw. Our vehicle flipped over severely damaged, but we finished the fight on foot. I walked the team back to the Mako and started laughing at the image of of an upside down Mako with three women looking at each other. I could almost see the meme caption "damn women drivers!" as a joke (if you didn't know that it got flipped by a thresher). =p

I used Kaidan and Wrex on my last ME1 before importing Teddy. It was SO awesome... with Wrex bashing through everything... Kai and I were both sentinels we hardly ever died, and tech/biotic blew our way through stuff

I swapped and used Liara and Kaidan once.....I think I was an Adept.... stuff flew....

It always used to crack me up in the old days of the ME1 Forums when people would characterize Liara and Kaidan as 'weak' in combat. They were my go-to squad for all difficulty levels, but most especially if I was playing as an Adept. The fight against Sovereign-Saren at the end is almost comical when you've got three people using Lift. He literally doesn't get to fight back. And with two people using Singularity in other fights, it's pretty easy to set up a "killing corridor". I honestly don't know what was wrong with those kids back then, except maybe youth- and testosterone-fueled Wrex/Garrus bro-love. The blue librarian and normal guy just can't compete for Teh Awesome for those types. I honestly thought that Liara and Kaidan were a bit overpowered at times, like it was like BioWare's in-joke or something. "Yeah, kiddies, you keep throwing Ashley and Wrex at those Krogan Battlemasters, you just go right ahead." And Tali? Pfft. Let's just say that my Quarian Ally achievement playthrough was my one-and-done with her.

Well, in the very first mission, when I didn't know how to play the game yet and was flailing around like an idiot, Kaidan did die a lot. It took me forever to figure out how to instruct people to use cover properly.

I actually started out not liking him, because of how many times he died on Eden Prime. Of course that was really my fault, but shhhhhh.

Lmao no he isn't as creepy, although im not a fan of manshep anyhow
I always had Kaidan in my team for me1, either with ash or liara, but then i cheat horribley through all my ME playthroughs and i needed people capable of wearing super armour

I'm looking forward to me3, i now have 2 femsheps loyal to kaidan (the first looked odd), i also have several sheps that have cheated on kaidan with various people, although all my sheps saved all the crew and all the team, so not many variables lol.

I am here to advise that due to circumstances beyond my control (okay at the time that voting was supposed to begin for the current prompt, there was only one entry… mine. We all know what a vote hog I am, so I didn’t close the prompt but kept it open… I mean it was spring break and all. Actually that was lost on me, I am old and don’t have kids. So I waited and we finally have a good group of prompts. {Aslan also had a fly cam issue}) I am thinking we wait until Sunday and then we will have a week to vote. Voting to Start Sunday April 17th and end Sunday April 24th at 12pm PST. Then the winner, or I if they can’t decide, will put up the new prompt.

Prompt Creation time from now on will ten days, at the request of the writers and artist that participate. It seems real life gets in the way.

Joker and Kaidan together on the Normandy made me all wistful for the opening moments of ME1...

Thanks for reading it...yeah I kinda want to go back to that ME1 feeling...the crew felt like family...I really didn't get that in ME2.

I don't think that they would get the same reaction today if they did a scene similar to the one they did in ME1...it's simply put "old news" but yeah...some of the dialogue in Fable during fade to black had me rolling on the floor it was so cheesy.

I got that feeling too like it's going to feel rushed because of the urgency...hopefully they'll have some down time...I wish they'd have some scenes like they had on the balcony of the citadel in ME1...really showed how much they were into each other before they actually got to know one another.  I had forgotten about Kai-kai. Makes me smile.

Ok i'm quite curious about this prompt stuff and was consdiering joining in, however the prompt page doesnt seem to like me and has stolen the convient skip to the last page arrows ><. i don't really want to trawl through 500 odd posts so does anyone have a link to the last page or know what i can do to sort my problem out, i also lost my search button about a month back, i think bioware doesn't like me no more

Hit last post on the discussion page list for the thread...if that's what you mean...goes directly to the last page...I had thought about doing something myself but am trying to juggle my time right now...hopefully over the summer...should have some extra free time then. My family always managed to walk past the room at that moment. Never a normal moment.
