Hey guys. I just found out that you could Renegade Kaidan, and apparently he becomes the worst (or best) one on the team (because he takes the role of Renegade whenever you make decisions, from what I read).

How does this happen, and how big is the personality shift? A few "renegade" dialogues wouldn't hurt, too.

Kept forgetting to vote in there. Is it just me or has the GI article improved Kaidan's overall status on these boards? Coming across a lot less hate than before, or maybe I'm lurking in all the right places

A very petty evil part of me wants to point and laugh. It fact I'm going have to try very very hard to be an adult. But I will try.

I haven't been able to maintain my daily vigil at the shrine of Kaidan (i.e. here), so this may have been discussed already. At the same time, I still haven't been able to find official confirmation of Kaidan's face model. We used to discuss it here (or was it within the KAAS?), so lemme lay out my hypothesis.

I was watching Game Informer's exclusive interview with Casey Hudson yesterday when I was suddenly struck by the similarities between his face and hair and Kaidan's. Just give him a vacation on a beach in Hawaii for a week with a low spf sunblock and voila! Kaidan.

Honestly, I agree with you. But if it were true... Maybe I'd like it.

How weird would it be to have your face in a video game with no one (not involved anyway) knowing it was you and then reading the fans reactions to your looks!?

Thanks to you, now while writing my fanfic, I'll see Kaidan as Casey speaking with Sbarge's voice. Great. And you made me look into that pic to the point I started to consider our dev attractive. And I don't judge attractiveness of people I respect. Usually XD

Oh good. Because for about an hour I'd feared I broke the thread. I hadn't thought about how it would affect the fanfic and art (and believe me, I have some of my own) until it was too late.

I also see lots of places where there are differences (Kaidan's lips are wider and a little softer?), but this is the closest I've ever seen anyone look to Kaidan. And, of course, I purposefully chose similar shots/poses/expressions (that I could find through Google, anyway) to better illustrate my point.

Ah, cool! I didn't notice when I watched the interview, but seeing the photos side by side there's definately a resemblance.
The lips are different though, and I think Kaidan has a more square face than Casey, but yeah, there are some similaritites.

Have to say it bothered me a little bit to see though. I prefer to not have the video game characters I obsess and drool over look like any real-life persons I am aware of. Makes me feel less creepy.

Hello all! Apologies if this is offtopic, pimping my Kaidanmancer femshep vid here, though it does not focus on Kaidan exclusively 

I've attempted to capture Mass Effect 2 in all it's glory, experienced through the eyes of a Vanguard reneparagade Femshep.



I plan to make more videos in the future, so any advice/criticism/feedback is super appreciated!

It's a little creepy at first, though not necessarily in a bad way. Now I think it's funny and kind of awesome. Ultimately (as others have already said), it's not 100% and it is Kaidan the character that we are all in love with, anyway.

Of course, there are those who hear Kaidan and can think of no one but Carth, so I imagine I may have ruined some people's Kaidan experience, now.

But I like to speculate and see what other people think. And, I'll admit, if I got a PM from Casey all "Shhhh! No one can know." I would die laughing.

And maybe I should point out that I don't look at Kaidan's image above and see Casey. I look at Casey's picture and see Kaidan.

I can see some similarities. Like some have said, the jawline and lips are different though. And I agree, I don't think I've seen someone look as close to Kaidan as Hudson. It's strange to see a side-by-side. But then, I always kinda thought Hudson was a looker anyways. XD
