I seen it coming to Fort. A friend and I had a heated arguement about Kaidan being a Spectre a few months ago. Though I thought they would be made a Spectre and sent to go after and arrest Shepard. Their loyality would be put to the test if they were actually going to bring Shepard in or end up helping. I was wrong about that.

Spectres played such a big role in ME1 it was odd how forgotten they were in ME2, at least to me. Before ME2 I would have said Garrus would be the next Spectre, after ME2 then Kaidan/Ash.

You think Kaiden will use this special move in ME3? After Virmire im pretty sure his PTSD might be acting up too, but funnies aside.

Im glad i saved Kaiden in ME1, he's definitely a more mature character than Ashley. His biotics saved my ass a couple times in ME1, i always used to take him granted too.

I finally finished my first playthrough of Arrival and I was excited that they were turning the story back to the reapers...they did a good job with making it feel like it was really leading into the next game. And I guess with Kaidan and Ash being Spectres they are turning back to that as well. Spectres, Reapers, Kaidan and Ash...just feels like going home again or something. The Kenson indoctrination thing freaked me out a little bit...I wasn't expecting it especially how normal she seemed.

I'm hoping we get Kaidan at the beginning of the game as a squadmate and don't have to wait...I would think he would want to be there for her trial no matter what may have gone down between them. I am keeping my fingers crossed.

KAIDAN ALENKO: "As Derek Watts puts it, Kaidan looked like he weighed 115lbs in Mass Effect and suffered for it.  Beefed up for ME3, hes pobably dead on your save."

Had to cross out the last part since it seemed inappropriate and more of the authors opinion... (he calls Ashley "racist but sexy".....)
I assume they mean the light armor he was forced to wear for ME1?
Anyway its nice to get his perspective on the design change.

I guess so...I would argue that his body mass was not the problem with some gamers in ME1 when it came to Kaidan, but his new armor looks cool, so I won't be too mad at Derek Watts.  As long as he's still biotic and awesome, he can wear whatever he wants.

I'm waiting to see how Kaidan reacts to both faithful and unfaithful Shepard in ME3, whether he's still angry or regretful, or what. There are still some things we don't know about the "new" Kaidan, so I'm waiting with baited breath.

How Kaidan and the other LIs react to rejection will have a lot of influence over how I feel about them. Rejection scenes in ME2 offered a lot of great insight into the relationship, often more than the actual relationship dialogue did.

O_O except he had exactly the same  body mesh as Shepard and most  (if not all)  humans in the game... so I guess that measn that Shepard is malnourished and weights 115 pounds? >_>

I honestly can't see him lashing out.  He talked about trying to move on in his email, and he's generally a reserved person.  As long as the writers keep him in character, he shouldn't be some raving maniac who hates Shepard for thinking their relationship was over.

Hell, I stayed "faithful", but I still believe one hundred percent that their relationship was over in ME2.

Very much agreed. Those attributes are why I liked Kaidan in the first place - I would hate to see them get rid of them in favor of an angsty, angry Kaidan. May as well be a different character if they go that route.

I am worried, because of his characterization Horizon and what has been said by Bioware about "cheating" consequences.

If I'm right in my assessment of his personality, he won't be (there was a more in-depth discusison a few pages ago). He's more likely to be professional and emotionally closed-off than angry. I think he'll only be angry if you set up another love triangle, leading him on while carrying on with someone else (which I'm not sure will even be possible, but we'll see.)

I'm also hoping he'll be apologietic to faithful Shepards. Because while his doubt on Horizon was reasonable, he could have phrased things better while still sticking to his principles. We all say things we don't mean, but it would be nice if he's been rehearsing his reunion speech this time, so he doesn't blow it again.

Also, add me to the list of people who liked Kaidan's body back in ME1. It was perfect! Don't mess with perfection! Bulkier armor is fine, but I liked how Shepard and Kaidan's body types matched.

Mm, paranoid is the right word. I just hope Kaidan doesn't freak out too much (or at all, but I get the feeling he'll have something to say about it) over what happened in Arrival and its implications. It hits Colonist twice as hard because of the history with batarian slavers.

Hackett did not hand your report back to you because he trusted you.  He's getting his plausible deniability together.  He'll buy you time, but when that's over he will absolutely serve  you up to prevent a war with the batarians that could cost millions of lives.  He might try to talk them out of executing you, but I wouldn't expect anything else.  I firmly believe when that trial starts Hackett's gonna have no idea why you were in batarian space.  He certainly isn't going to say an Alliance admiral sent you to rescue an operative and finish her plan to destroy the system.  That would start a war for sure.

Hackett was pretty clear about that mission being a personal favor from the start so I wouldn't expect any backing from him as an Alliance Admiral with regards to that particular incident. I don't think he'll ever consider giving Shepard up to the batarians, though - not with a full-scale Reaper invasion looming over their heads.

I doubt they meant his body since Shepard shared the same body model (as did every male in the game)
I think its more about his armor since in ME1 you were only allowed to equip him with light armor...which to me looked funny on him.  Thats why I always cheated and used codes to get him to wear this:
