I'm just posting to say... Freddie Mercury <3 much? :D

Something with help of Collider&Jho. I don't have much time to play with the mod thou, that's why it's nothing really special.

Besides, my CED doesn't want to rebuild mods for me T_T

I'm going to wait for a release date and then gradually try and not come on here too often. I want to know enough but not so I know step by step whats going to happen.

My first playthroughs always end up with me doing a big mistake which annoys the hell outta me, but then when I replay I know what to do and then I count my second playthrough as my "real" one.

DA:O/DA2 tricked me a few times were as ME1/2 I always did a perfect first run through.

But I got a feeling ME3 could do a DA and have different consequences...

What I would love is some videos of Kaidan in game or a trailer with him in it, but knowing our luck it probably be Ashley more but with the screenshot being of him rather than her I can hope.

*fingers crossed*

OT, but my first playthrough of DA2 was a total failure choice wise. I tend to want to keep all my allies loyal and happy, but I ended up with super high rivalry with most of my companions, and accidentally sent some of them away. Strangely enough, the high rivalry was quite the turn on for Merril though because me treating her like dirt didn't make her not want to sleep with me.
That game frustrated the hell out of me to be honest, because people would totally ignore my Hawke's wishes and go do what they liked, wether it was dabbling with blood magic or sneaking into the chantry to kill people. More like real life I guess, but IRL that would have made me not include them in my party any more. But that's for another thread.

My playthroughs of ME and ME2 were pretty good even the first time though...Accidentally killed Tali because I did not listen to the instructions in the suicide mission well enough, but otherwise I made the choices I believe were correct. I tend to stick to the paragon choices which usually turns out pretty good. I agree with you though, in some games it is very easy to do something you think is correct but end up regretting it when you see the result.

Still not sure about if some of the ME2 choices I made were the wise ones...like Mordin's and Legion's loyalty missions. It sort of feels like in ME3 any choices you've made will come back to bite you in the backside no matter what you chose.

I'm not a fan of timed quests myself, though I've noticed if I just calm down and take it at a normal pace, accepting I may die the first time until I get a feel for it, I find I have plenty of time. Except for the run to the Conduit. To this day that one makes me want to scream.

Ha! The Conduit run does still give me heart palpitations. Though you have plenty of time to do it as long as you aren't trying to fight any of the geth.

To keep it on topic... I also want Kaidan biotic awesomeness in a ME3 trailer. Yes please!? :innocent:

YES YES YES! I just read the interview with Hudson from Xbox World that was linked on Facebook that said that (minor spoilers)

"1. Mass Effect 3 will have fewer party characters than Mass Effect 2
Don't expect to have nearly as many characters in Mass Effect 3 as you did in ME2. ME2's large crew—12 playable characters—was necessary for the game's posse-building storyline, but was a little large for BioWare's taste.

"Twelve was a big number in Mass Effect 2 - almost too big", says Hudson. "We're focused on a smaller squad with deeper relationships and more interesting interplay in Mass Effect 3' he explains. "We're not going to have twelve again but we are going to do more with the characters on your squad including Liara, and Kaidan or Ashley. And we're bringing everyone back - every main character is in Mass Effect 3 somewhere."

So yes, it is very possible that you might not get to control your favorite ME2 character. That said, every character from the game has a role to play in the story, provided they survived your trip through the Omega-4 relay."

YES YES YES!  *does happy dance*

Boo hiss! (to the bolded bit) I was kinda hoping we might be able to pick and choose from 'dirty dozen' of ME2. I mean i know that would have been a very expensive option with all the VA but it would have been awesome. I'm delighted about Kaidan being back ofc. Not too fussed about Liara tbh, i kinda prefer Samara to her. I'm just gonna go and cross my fingers that i get Kasumi and Thane back, since it sounds like we already are getting Jack back (Jack and Kasumi were my fav duo in ME2). I mean i like all the ME2 characters in their own way but i def have favourites within the squad.

I could not agree more with there being too many squadmates...personally I was overwhelmed...once I recruited them and did their loyalty quest they were forgotten because it was time to move on to somebody else...unless they really stood out for me personally (like Kasumi, Mordin,Samara and Miranda) I was kind of done with them.

I'm okay with the ones I liked for ME2 not being on my squad though..as long as I've got Kaidan I'm happy. If Kaidan/Ash and Liara are confirmed I wonder how many slots that leaves and who will fill them. People have said Garrus is confirmed if her didn't die and Tali too I think...but what if they did die...will one of the ME2 characters take their place or will it be someone new all together.

I doubt they'd make new squad mates that are only available if x squad mate in ME2 died.

Yup, imo there were way too many too. Everybody from ME2 will make an appearance though, that much is certain. As far as possible deaths are concerned, they once said it's a balancing act as well. They need to provide a class balance on the ship. Although a ship filled with just biotics would have been fun ;) Maybe it'll work a bit like in DA2 with the whole Hawke/sibling deal. If class A1 is dead, A2 will take his/her place?

Also. bear in mind that the average save game only has 15% of the squad dead... that's only one or two people. Statistically, the number of people who have both Tali and Garrus dead would be very low, especially compared to Wrex, who is dead in about 50% of games. /sadface

If the average SM loss numbers were higher, I'd be more worried about the fate of the rest of the ME2 cast. That said, Kaidan (and possibly Garrus) back makes me happy.

I'd just be satisfied with combat screenshots that show Kaidan using biotics.  It would be nice to be reassured that he's still got the same skillset.  A Blur trailer with Kaidan would be pretty amazing, too.

And yeah, I'm so posting just to show off my sweet new avatar.

Me too, even though Vulpes has been seen on here already.

I am tentatively worried about Kaidan's class being messed with, though I'd be okay if they made him more adept than he was shown in ME1. At least it'd make sense. That being said, I'd very highly object to them taking him the vanguard route, since he doesn't specialize in any weapons.

Re: Squadmates:
The only other squadmate I'm crossing my fingers for is Miranda. If I could roll a double sentinel team, it'd be super sweet.

Oh on a slightly related note i saw a pic of the new/old normandy in one of the new scans and am very disappointed with how dark it looked. I didn't like the gloomy lighting of the ship in ME1, although Kaidans corner was fairly well lit. I liked the lighting in ME2 and am rather disappointed to be heading back to the gloom :(

Guess i'll have to cross me fingers and hope Kaidan gets another well lit corner/room to lurk in.

That balancing act sounds like a programming nightmare to me...extra time will probably be needed to just work out all the bugs.

I really didn't pay much attention to the class this time around...it wasn't like I had to take certain people on quests or I would be impaired or at least it didn't feel that way. I mean in ME if you took the Mako and didn't have someone with electronics you could easily get screwed...or if you didn't have someone with decryption you'd miss a lot of loot. Seemed to matter more in ME1 than ME2.

Yeah...that working like DA2 thing has me thinking that they may allow you to choose between the ME1 and ME2 LI  if you cheated since they said they didn't want to punish people for their decisions.

Eeek I have to admit Garrus and Tali bit the dust in my first 2 playthroughs...I was a bit emotional over the Kaidan thing and took it out on them...it's all right now...I have a playthrough where they are all saved.  Of course from a role playing perspective I guess you could say my Shep was so distraught over Horizon that she just couldn't pull it together to save her crew. It was much more dramatic and emotional with the deaths though...the save everyone playthrough was not as exciting IMO.

I thought the new pic showed him with heavy armor and a shotgun(if I'm not mistaken...if I am somebody say something).

Liked Miranda too...but would really like to have Kasumi on my team...loved her shadow strike.

Yeah it did look darker but what was up with that caption: Normandy famous for spaceships and cheese...is Alistair on board or something.

Kaidan can lurk in Sheps quarters.

Maybe Ashley gets a biotic upgrade and she and Kaidan are both Vanguards to balance the Soldier vs. Sentinel dilemma.  :wizard:

... there was a joke attached to that, but I'd rather not.  Have this Kaidan instead:

No. I don't want Kaidan to be a Vanguard. I really like him as a Sentinel. There is too much of the tech geek in what I perceive to be his personality and changing his class would mean losing part of who he is for me.

Don't panic guys, they do little weapon-y shifts to make people seem more badass all the time. My Vanguard can use a sniper rifle now, maybe Kaidan just picked up some advanced weapon training!

The obvious solution for the Soldier/Sentinel thing is to have James Vega (or some other new squaddie) be a Tech/Soldier hybrid who can be spec'd either way. So if you don't have Ash you can make him more soldier like, and if you don't have Kaidan you can make him more techy. You already have Liara for biotics.

I'm kind of curious about the whole Spectre bit for Kaidan (or Ashley). As far as we knew in ME2, they were just promoted Alliance guys... so I really want to know what went down behind the scenes. Hopefully it's not just something that's hung out there for plot purposes -- or worse, no purpose at all.

On the other hand... sexy biotic Spectre? Yes please!

+1

Kaidan is a "tech geek" which was cool so 'm guessing that its just a weapons upgrade, or that my Femshep decided that shotgun's were cooler so she made him use one.

I pretty much liked all the PC's from so I'll be happy just to see them all :D

But Jack is one of my fave's along with Miranda...

I wouldn't be too concerned about Kaidan becoming a vanguard. They have made a big deal about Jack getting an appearance change so that probably means she will be a squadmate (and she is the adept/vanguard character from ME2...and Jacob is a vanguard as well).
