Oh, I think that much is a given! No doubt Bioware is working on an extra special story line for those Shepards that have been in a relationship since ME1, and who remained faithful until ME3. I mean, how could they not? They won't be able to just ignore the fact that Shepard and Kaidan were already in a relationship.

My scenario was specifically for single!Sheps. Because, hey, they exist. And if single!Shep decides to go for it with Kaidan in ME3, you can bet he's going to have something unique to say about it. In no way would his romance with single!Shep be the same as a faithful femShep from ME1.

And maybe manShep could piggyback on the idea that single!Shep can spark a fresh romance with Kaidan in ME3. At least, that's my hope. If Kaidan is a romantic option for single!Sheps in ME3--which, in my opinion, has a high possibility--it might as well be for both genders!

Yesss, my poor single ren!infiltrator-femShep highly appreciates this idea. Speaking honestly, I've made this playthrough only to see if it's possible. More good and different situations about Kaidan, hm?

I think if they are opening the VS for new romances whether it's for s/s or straight, if the comic allows you to "romance" for the last two games I will be annoyed due to many of us having the patience to wait for 3/4years for a conclusion. But then it wouldnt work for new players but then would they need to select a romance? So much speculation


Due to the comment about how we would be awarded for being faithful is optimistic. But i'm holding up hope till closer to the release date.

For console users: if you create a male shep, isn't your default VS Ash? And vice versa Femshep/Kaidan? If that's the case, I'm not sure how a Bi Kaidan/Ash can be available for current console Me2 users who plan to import to Me3.

I can see how Bi Kaidan/Ash could creatively be worked in with the inclusion ME 3 intro comic or ME 1 but what about those who have part 2 of 3 games as their entry point?

Hmm.... I would love to try a start-up dialouge with Kaidan in ME3 just to see how that relationship would turn out     more variety is always fun. Maybe a single F!Shep in ME, who finds love in ME2 only to tragically lose that said ME2LI in the SM (I'm a bad person). Then in comes Kaidan in ME3 to pick up the pieces, make her find something to fight for when all feels lost. Could be interesting, I don't think that start-up relationship dialouge will make the dialouge for existing relationships to suffer. I'm hoping that it will just add replay value. But, this is all speculation, and wishfull thinking.

I think that one of his tweets said something about old and new so it's probably both just not the previous actual LI's from the past two games. My bet is that Joker will be an LI whether that is s/s or not I wouldn't know.

ETA: and since we are having new LI's James Vega may be on the table.(I meant that figuratively)

You'd think by now that Bioware's well used to how anything said be it in full or in passing will get twisted around on a level par with euclidean geometry.  But then if they say nothing, that manages to get twisted around as well.

They just can't win.

I agree.  Straight Shepards have so many options at this point, it's just mind boggling.  Not that it really boggled my mind because I'm entirely stuck on Kaidan.  I am curious about which pre-existing character could turn up and be bisexual or gay, though.  Joker doesn't make much sense in that category to me, but you never know.  I could also see Tali leaning towards both, because, even though ME2 infamously abruptly CUT OFF all communications with party members after you discerned that you didn't want to romance them, Tali didn't seem entirely opposed.

I can't see Kaidan as a s/s option, but it isn't going to make me attack Bioware or anything.  I think if he is that the continuity will be slightly skewed, but I mean, unless they make him abruptly decide that he wants nothing to do with woman and is strictly going after men, then I don't care that much.

As long as my femshep can tackle and kiss the daylights out of him eventually.  I won't be too perturbed.

Don't get me wrong, though.  I like that he's doing it.  It gives a feeling of importance to the fans, I think.

Laughing my head off at the lastest tweet...someone wanted Casey to be a character in the game...he declined of course but I think some people wouldn't mind him being a LI. Then again that might freak him out...guess that's why he said he would leave it to the pros.
