Heh, I think it's more that saying we want him as an LI might be a little scary. Especially since some girls on this board may be illegal in council space.

But yes, we all want to compliment Casey on his great work.

I can't remember where in game happened a situation when Kaidan looks down like that - moreover, I have troubles understanding where the source of light is.
That's all popping up in my head when I see this

Things that Casey says seem contradictory. He said: "In this one, we don’t really have new characters that are part of the romance stuff in the way that we did in Mass Effect 2, where we introduced a lot of characters. So this is more about how you, if you’re a new player, how you start these romances with the existing characters."
Then the tweet:
"Happy to confirm #ME3 supports wider options for love interests incl. same-sex for m&f chars, reactive to how you interact w/them in-game."
And
"Some game sites saying 'previously straight chars now available for both m&f chars' not necessarily true. Will have some new LI's in #ME3."

So in one interview he says that there are no new characters for romance in ME3 but in the other that there are going to be new LI's. The only thing I can make of that is that there are going to be familiar faces that haven't been LI's that now are--like someone mentioned perhaps Joker being a prime example.
This man is giving me a headache.

EDIT:  And I'm not saying that I wouldn't love new versions of romancing Kaidan--s/s or new for ME3.  I just know how these things sometimes work.  BW has a certain amount of money/resources that they are willing to devote to the "sidequests" of romantic relationships.  The larger the pool of stuff they have to do, the smaller each portion becomes.  We already have 9 LI's--so 9 VA's and need to animate those characters, develop dialogue and scenarios for each.  Not to mention the large number of potential interactions between ME1 and ME2 Li"s for the Shepards that did not stay faithful.  The more "new" LI content you introduce--whether start-up relationships with existing or new characters, the less resources there are to devote to the existing stories that we all have been waiting for for years.  Just worries me a bit.

I reckon there might be like one new person (james V) and perhaps "new" in a sense others, pre-existing characters.

Someone brought up a good point about the S/S with the VS, due to option of either of them being dead and the issue already at hand with their amount of dialogue for either one who might not appear in everyones game, it might be more costly to make them bisexual due to the fact that half the time one of them is dead. So if they were to do a S/S I think it would be with someone who is more likely to be in the game to secure the S/S role per se?

I am too worried about the amount of LI's at the moment, sometimes I wish they had done some s/s in ME2 then this situation wouldnt happen. The plot is more important to me and the fact is Kaidan has been looked over so many times I fear that he may not be focused on as much due to more popular LI's such as Garrus etc.

I want my due with Kaidan! *throws toddler tantrum*

@Jade Agreed, the way he speaks makes it sound as if characters we already know will be the 'new' LI's. Maybe Kelly like characters like Ken or Gabby...who knows, maybe even Conrad Verner I can imagine a character like Shiala could be a possible romantic encounter too since she sure seems interested in ME2. Maybe these characters can be approached by both FemShep as Sheploo and thus making them 'bi'.
It doesn't add new LI's like the 'main ones' but it does add new romantic options like in a Kelly style?

You can't remember it because there wasn't one. I just like to hang out at Kaidan's station running fraps. I, umm, I like the ilghting from the instrument panel. :innocent:

Jho:  Or Aria perhaps.  I could see her as a "new" character that we already know.

This is pretty much all I want from ME3. I don't care if the plot is terrible, as long as I get a satisfactory Kaidan fix, I'm good to go. (Ok, not entirely true, but I doubt BW would or could mess up the plot so much that I'd want to tear my hair out.)

That applies to everything they decide to add that they hadn't planned on...but your right it wouldn't be fair for those who had invested into a romance for two games to have less of a pay off because they put too many resources into new directions. Perhaps these new LI's aren't as many as we might imagine...they did say less squadmates than ME2 perhaps that plays out with the LI's as well.
