I finally managed to get the conversation on the Citadel near the Medi clinic. I'm probably turning into a sad fan girl but I spent ages trying to find where it was and none of the information I found was right about when to go there. But yay! this run through I found it.

So cute - I love when dialogue is so in character and so funny at the same time :)

I don't have an on topic image for my comment, so instead, Kaidan's wondering if these things carry Ross River fever:

I was wondering. Since Kaidan makes little accidental remarks on how he likes femshep, does Ashley make the same kind of slip ups? She seems like not the type to do that, but it would be cute.

From what I've seen, not really.  Her remarks feel more deliberate to me, when she makes them.  It's one of the things I love about Kaidan, how he slips and then gets all flustered and tries to cover it up.

It's that kind of stuff that makes it impossible for me not to romance him. God i hope he is in the next DLC or ME3. I want that SO BAD!

Agreed, it is almost as cute as when he almost tell Shepard he loves her.

lol! Its one of the dialog out comes of the locker scene. I'm trying to upload that scene to my youtube channel right now.

“That's what I lo— appreciate about you.”

That's one of my favorites.  <3  And then the paragon response to that - "in the face of danger and you trip" (paraphrased) Kaidan - "I guess I just need some time to practice." And then the near kiss!  Much as I love Joker, I could have punched him when he interrupted...

I think a renegade response prompts it from him... could be wrong.

I suspect they all lead up to it - I think you get it with paragon/neutral as well leading up to it.  It's after he asks "Are we the pride of the Alliance navy or not" and whatever Shepard responds with probably leads to his "Do you have something up your sleeve?  Of course you do, that's what I lo- appreciate about you."

The neutral and renegade responses lead to it. Paragon does not.

Edit to add: Someone went through and wrote up all of the romance dialogue here and here.

Kaidan's almost slip
Pure paragon you don't get the "I lo- appreciate about you." I use to do pure paragon until I found out he said this.

@meonlyred - thanks for putting that up. No more paragons in that convo for me! Those moments do make ME2 look a little souless.

Kid?!  He is 2 years older then Shepard. Thanks anyways, I was really curious about the comic. All and all Kaidan does look bad ass in comic book form.

That comic made me really appreciate how detailed and compelling the plot was while playing ME1 because I was just wincing at all the stuff they left out and how they threw hasty character descriptions for everyone.

And adding insult to injury: "Save KAIDEN" vs "Save Ashley".

Yep. And they described Liara as "smart as she is beautiful" blahblah. There was no such description of Ashley.

I was beginning to think positive of how the VS could have dlc and stuff but it's painfully obvious now that the devs don't even care to properly introduce them (especially Kaidan). I'm preparing for character assassination in ME3 and I'm also prepared to not buy it.

My optimisim is certainly beginning to wane.  I'm holding out to see what happens with DLC.  I think that'll be the deciding factor for me.

ah, thanks for the correction.  :)  I know I got that line the first time I played - I went more with RP than straight paragon selection but don't always remember when i didn't pick paragon.  Looooove that line, Kaidan's constant slips are actually what made me really like his romance. [ whispers ] I don't actually find him all that physically attractive :bandit: [/ whispers ]

I wouldn't get too upset about them calling Kaidan a kid, I actually like it.

I know for me, I call anyone I consider a close friend/pal/peer a kid, even those older than me.

MeOnlyRed for instance, shes been my friend for...14 years now? Shes older than me, I still refer to her as kid, just because we have a close friendship. Same for one of our mutual male friends. Hes been like a brother to us for a long time, and hes 2 years older, and I also still refer to him as a kid.

I think for Shep, when Kaidan is in the friend zone, they are good pals. But not only even that, Kaidan looks up to Shep quite a bit. I think its pretty fitting that Shep would refer to him as kid.
