My first playthrough as an adept, when I had only played soldier before, I was expecting him to comment on the
fact that we were both biotics. I got in the conversation hoping that him and my Shep could have a dialogue about braincamp, but alas...he didn't even mention my Shep's biotic abilities. A bit of a disappointment there.

I always thought the Kaidan romance initial trigger was just not blaming him for the beacon accident.   From my assorted playthroughs, any time I blame him, the romance doesn't seem to trigger.

that's what I thought as well - I was wrong.  the conversation on citadel still triggers as well as the "do you always get so personal with your crew"

I think it was supposed to lock out the romance but just look neutral response in that "do you get so personal" conversation - its bugged :/

I found the "No wonder they like you..." conversation straight across from the entrance to the clinic. When you go to recruit Garrus, put your back to the door. Walk straight ahead to the railing. There should be a "box" to click on that starts the convo. I didn't get that particular tidbit until my last playthrough either. (And I've probably played three femsheps...)

ha ha ha    =)    I haven't gotten that one yet. Discovered the Kaidan-tread a little bit too late on my last Kaidan-LI-Shep. On the next one I will make sure I get it.

Well, husband/kept man. Shepard's not too fussed on the details. I think SageQueen's fic is onto a good idea with the kept man thing though

Now I'm not sure if it's a good or bad thing that my fiance ended up stopping any comments about what he sees in passing on my comp screen.  Lord knows he's gotten many a shock from the stuff I look at.

All of my screen savers are of Mass Effect and Dragon Age, boyfriend was round (not often due to college etc) even though he himself is a fan of both series my computer started playing them all and he just shook his head. That was until a slightly risque one popped up of Kaidan.

Then to make things worse a Garrus themed one then emerged.

His silence said everything hahaha

What I do to get that dialogue is after becoming a Spectre I leave the Citadel without meeting with Sha'ira. I do at least one mission, (Noveria, Feros, or Therum) then talk to Kaidan. I'm not exactly sure which dialogue choices start the romance but I'm fairly sure the top dialogue after Eden Prime has no effect besides getting a sweet smile from him. After that I return to the Citadel and speak with Sha'ira and TADA jealous Kaidan.

@Brodyaha, you have to talk to Kaidan and Liara in a certain order. After you recruit Liara, talk to Kaidan then Liara, do another mission and then talk to Liara then Kaidan. If I remember right that should get him to say it. Its the second chance of him getting jealous of Liara.

Someone once put together some if not all of Kaidan's dialogue trees. Does anyone still have that link?

Thanks! I found a midgame-save on masseffectsaves that worked perfectly so that I didn't have to replay any of the missions to hear the dialoge. Nice, I like it when Kaidan is jealous. He doesn't have to be though, there is only one LI in my Shepard's life...


Seems like the romance doesn't trigger until after the dialogue after the first mission then.

Does anyone know how long it took sbarge to record his lines for ME1 or 2? just saw on LJ that seth green has just recorded a third of his for me3 and its 12 hours in total! So im kinda hoping that means Joker will be a LI in ME3, but i don't really have a context of how long it took the other LIs to record their dialogue ><
