All these Kaidan-in-ME2 character swaps makes me want ME3 something terrible. Screenshots of Kaidan being awesome gets me everytime. Ma'ma loves her some soldier.

What I do to get that dialogue is after becoming a Spectre I leave the Citadel without meeting with Sha'ira. I do at least one mission, (Noveria, Feros, or Therum) then talk to Kaidan. I'm not exactly sure which dialogue choices start the romance but I'm fairly sure the top dialogue after Eden Prime has no effect besides getting a sweet smile from him. After that I return to the Citadel and speak with Sha'ira and TADA jealous Kaidan.

@Brodyaha, you have to talk to Kaidan and Liara in a certain order. After you recruit Liara, talk to Kaidan then Liara, do another mission and then talk to Liara then Kaidan. If I remember right that should get him to say it. Its the second chance of him getting jealous of Liara.

Someone once put together some if not all of Kaidan's dialogue trees. Does anyone still have that link?

Thanks! I found a midgame-save on masseffectsaves that worked perfectly so that I didn't have to replay any of the missions to hear the dialoge. Nice, I like it when Kaidan is jealous. He doesn't have to be though, there is only one LI in my Shepard's life...


Seems like the romance doesn't trigger until after the dialogue after the first mission then.

Hmmm... My shep was never flirty with Liara or anyone else. Sounds like the next Shep will have to do perhaps a tiny bit of flirting. Would be fun to see that dialouge

Nice.
I really liked be that dress on Shepard, I was very happy when I realized I would get to keep it after kasumi's mission. Would've been even prettier if it had been a long dress, both because it would have looked nicer
and because of the cutscenes. Really nice with some formal wear though.

Kaidan looks great no matter what he wears (almost).

That is Sapphyreelf's Alexis Shepard Spacer/War Hero/ poster girl.  She's Kaidan's one true love.   At least in our story.

Question for Kaiden fans: I am running a femShep for my husband, getting her ME2 ready...I have never played a femShep before, so never dealt with Kaiden's romancing....I am leveling the femShep up to 60 before I import her, so first play through, I romanced Kaiden just to see what he is like....WHAT A SWEETHEART ....But I am on the export game now and hubby doesn't want his femShep in a relationship...My question is, when do I stop dialogging with Kaiden to make sure no romance ensues? I don't want to break his heart by going renegade on him.

Owl - just tell him that you were tired waiting for a good part in a very first conversation you have with him, where he tells you about BAAT. that completely ends the romance and from that point, you can talk to him as much as you want and he'll just be friendly, and not romantic and you'll get max dialogue.

The sad thing is, that line about waiting for the good part sounds a bit mean and rude. I wish they had done the romance triggers better.

Missed my opportunity.......already had the first dialog with him and I do remember seeing that option, but didn't take it because it looked like it would be cruel....I tried the renegade final comment, but he wasn't offended and later I spoke with Ash, she mentions liking Kaiden and then says he told her his sweet on someone else.......So I guess just no more dialog with him, like I do with Ash with my manShep (you just get a little more dialog out of Ash before you have to stop speaking with her), so thought I may have had a little more time with Kaiden...well at least I got to explore him before the export game....Thank you anyway Jewel...appreciated.

There are outs in the second conversation, too. And in the third. ... and I thought in the fourth, but I may be mistaken on that. And if all else fails, telling him to get lost at the lockers should work.

I don't want to be cruel to him...he is so sweet....I will try a second convo then, just save before hand....With Ash you have a dialog with her in which she expresses her interest, Sheps neutral response is surprise...after that just don't dialog her anymore and it doesn't feel cruel...have been kinda hoping for a similar moment with Kaiden.

I think you might be able to tell him that he's out of line in one of the later conversations and stop the romance that way, not sure, I usually just brace myself and take that cruel option once so that I could keep being nice again.

At least there's always reload......if the dialog fouls.

What I'm not looking forward to is leaving him on Virmire, my Shep saves him...femShep is to leave him.......Up until playing femShep, I have always liked Kaiden, but never really thought about him (my avatar tells you who I love ...)...But after romancing Kaiden in the non exprot game, the Virmire decision of leaving him is gonna hurt.... Yes, am newly awakened Kaiden fan...

how come you're leaving him?  just curious  (incidentaly, if you are leaving him - you could safely be as nice to him as you want to be, as romance flags dissapear if whoever you are flirting with dies on Virmire)
