Hello everyone, it’s been awhile since I posted here. I’ve limiting my BSN surfing a great deal to try and avoid ME3 spoilers but wanted to share a manip I made  the other day I made of Kate’s main ME1 team and hopeful ME3 team.

so how do you guys think kaidan fits as a "bro" to manshep?

i was thinking of doing a full run of ME1&2 and having kaidan live for the first time ever while romancing liara.

i know a majority of the kaidan fans are people who romance him though lol

I would guess that he works well as a friend for M!Shep, he does when I play a F!Shep that romances Liara. Go for it =) it's always fun to have something different when playing a new shep.

Kaidan: why didn't you conntact me?!

Sigh... it's painful every time. I wish there had been a way to just send a mail or something to him. This shep is actually single in ME and so far in ME2. Don't know if I will save her for Kaidan in ME2 or if she will go with Jacob. I guess that you should be able to leave your ME2 LI in ME3 and be able to start a new relationship. Could be interesting to see how that dialogue turns out. Oh well.. have fun everyone =)

Haven't got any idea what are you was afraid of. Shepard foreshadowing Horizon in this way matches very well with canonic dialogues. Plus, reaction of characters on plot progression looks very natural. The only thing - surname associated by me with "female" "redhead" "sniper" and "ghost" is definitely not Shepard, so now I'm sitting and guessing if it was intentional

Nice, I giggled a little when he called Shepard Red. That is the nickname my husband has called me since the day we meet. Now nearly everyone calls me that. (hints the username)

That looks awesome! That was totally my team in ME1 too. I can't tell you how bad I missed having them both together in ME2. So happy to have the both back in ME3. I would have been pissed if I got Kaidan but not Garrus.

I would be a fan of Kaidan regardless of it he was romanceable or not. I remember playing ME1 for the first time and making a comment to my roommate about how awesome Kaidan was, when he told me he was romanceable for FemShep and I about fell out of my chair in excitement. He has a great dry humor. Varric actually kind of reminds me of him alittle bit. They both make similar jokes. As for how they fit together as friends and comrades, I say he is the balance to Shepard. The reminder to keep on the straight and narrow and to ATFM.

I couldn't think up of a better first name for my Shep so I stuck with default and that I figure anyone can call her whatever they want. (And just now I thought of a good one. Doh.)

The ghost bit was a reference to Horizon (Kaidan calling her one) and my Shep is an inflirator (I love sniping so much ;_; and oh god I could have used the cloak in ME!)

...yeah, I guess I was just nervous because I hadn't done a fanfic in a while! I think I'll focus on drawing to see if I can do Kaidan justice too. XD

Kia, that was just...I don't really have a word to describe how much I enjoyed it!  Maybe I'm being partial because the description of your Shep reminded me so much of my own, so it was easy to place her into the story in my mind, but it was really well written, and a bit haunting at times.  My heart just kept breaking for Kaidan!    And oh god, the symbolism you used was just gorgeous.  <3

I'd love to read anything else you might be thinking about sharing!

Let me guess... Kerrigan?    (Wants Heart of the Swarm almost as much as she wants ME3)

But default femShep is a redhead... don't remember the eye color but I think it is blue.

The funny thing about that, I didn't think the default hair color was red enough, so I went with ... really red. (I meant for it to look more like auburn red, I blame my monitor.) XD

Which was why later today I was like "...I could have gone with Sydney!" (If anyone's familiar with Alias, the third season has a pilot where the main character lost few years of her life but ... not from being dead. )

Helen-- Thanks I've been tossing around a couple of ideas like ME in different time periods-- and ... 30's Crime Noir was kind of a lol idea while the 50's was more of "Where did that come from?" (I blame Kaidan's hair for this one)

... wait, isn't Kerrigan EDI?   Also, I was actually not referring to Starcraft... I had no idea that it came off that way, lol! (I should beat that game some day but I got distracted... by stuff.)

How does everyone in this thread handle the Horizon reunion? Do you folks pick the upper dialog options or what?

I personally tend to pick the lower ones. Because I feel Shepard does a better job at defending his or her relationship with Cerberus and because Shepard actually then points out the VS and the Alliances own failures and incompetence.

And this is not some attempt to bash the VS. I just feel that taking the lower responses make more sense from an in-game standpoint.

That was really awesome. I don't identify with my Shep being a red head so I mentally bleeped those parts out ;D 
But the way you portrayed Kaidan's inner hell was great. He seems soooo upset on Horizon these types of fanfic help to fill things in. Thanks for sharing!

My paragrade Shep takes lower, middle, then upper.  However, she wasn't "faithful," if that matters.  

The paragon was and she takes all upper responses.

Zody is of course romance with him. Orra is not. She is the one I'm hoping to start a romance with Kaidan in ME3.

I went with paragon choices on my 1st playthrough but every one since that I've used a combination of the three. I don't like the paragon 'I didn't want to hurt you' because I would never think telling my love I'm alive is more hurtful than letting them find out on their own. How does that open old wounds?! I mean really. There's just really no good choices in that conversation. Can't wait to have a decent conversation with him finally.

I agree, I don't care for the straight paragon choices, it almost seems like Shepard is giving up on him. Letting go without a fight. I understand its that way for people who want to romance someone else in ME2 but if I had my way Zaeed and Garrus would have had to dragged Zody back to the Normandy kicking and screaming.

Nothing you say affects your paragon/renegade score so I role play that scene. Zody hates Cerberus so she snaps when he says she is working for them. She is also highly emotional when it comes to Kaidan. Orra is more 'do what ya gotta do' and doesn't have the emotional hang ups that Zody does about losing people she cares about.

I have seen this concept touched on in fanart.  Unfortunately it was lost in my last hard drive crash, but I had a wild west motif picture I saved from somewhere that was of the ME1 crowd.

Hello everybody! I am a total, 100000000000% Kaidan Alenko fan. And logicaly I am joining this thread because I want... nope, thats wrong... I demand to see Kaidan in ME3 and my poor little Shepard demands to see him also. She has her other demands also... like hearing him speak for a long long time, having a very very large assortment of diferent lines with wich she could respond and she most definetly wants to see him dressed and undressed on warios locations at warrious times, preferably at any time she would deemed his... ahem... godessly presence... ahem... to be around her and so on , wont go into to much of the details as my Shepard is already screaming in my ear that that stuff is privat.

And sorry for this post wich will be way to long but ahem, I have to get this stuff out...

[i]Anyhow my Kaisha Shepard when she heard Kaidan for first time hounted for the face to associate with that awsome voice and seeing Alenko for first time she went in her head more like an "Uh?"

Then at the beacon she thought something like :" You stupid little man! Didnt your mommy told you not to lick poles in the winter?!".

After she came around in the sick-bay (or is med-bay, huh) she felt grogy but thought :"Was he here all the time? Huh..." and after his apology she kindda couldnt bring herself to yell at him so she said the first line. The smile he gave her struck her straight into her pixle-heart. That was it. His voice was of the gods already, but now even his aperance to her resembled to the most beautiful angel. At that point she was actualy prepared to start believing in gods and angels and all that, all just because of Him.

How things evolved is obvious and those hours before Ilos were her best ever. She still treasures them in her perfect-recall-memory and if Cerberus would want to delete those from her... well, lets just say that Reapers threat would be seen as terryfying as is butterfly terryfying to an T-Rex.

After Cerberus revived her, her mind was totaly focused only on "Where is my Kaidan!!!". That actualy got her up, not Mirandas voice. Kaisha Shepard didnt cared about what was happening around her, she was just trying to find her dear, precious Kaidan. Instead she bumped into that Jacob-guy and her thought :"WTF there is what, 4 mechs and you are hiding? My Kaidan would make scap metal from them in what... a second...".

Anyhow, she accepted all that Cerberus and Collectors stuff in a manner of "I dont have any choice in the matter and I will blame BioWare for ever for this!" but decided that she most certanly wont trust Cerberus and will try to get as much intel on them as possible and turn all that to the Alliance.

Anyhow, to make things shorter... after hearing that Kaidan is on Horizon she put everything aside and rushed there faster that the light speed. Leaving a bloody trail behind her (with assistance of Garrus and Kasumi) she finaly got to the part where she heard and saw her beloved one. After that everything just went down.

I actualy screamed at my Shepard because she spoke like an emotional zombie... But well, I cant blame her... she was overwhelmed and all and well, Kaidan didnt accepted her back openhandedly as she "stupidly" expected so she jumped to the conclusion that he moved on (besides, she did heard some rumors about it whilest traveling around) and well, she had to protect her fragile heart... Anyhow, joy of seeing him alive and unharmed (at least by collectors) and sadness mixed together.

At the "You betrayed...." lines there was a soring anger present also but well, she didnt want to burn the bridge and she swalowed it... altrough hard... She still suffers because of those words even if he did wrote that he is sorry.  She read that letter probably more times that she inhaled air in her both lifetimes hanging on every word.

She is deeply annoyed by the doctor chick (wanted to search for her all over the Citadel but she seemed to be limited to just Zakera Wards and Presidium... no doctors there... huh )  and would gladly made a physical conversation with her (wich would end in completely battered doctors corpse) but she understands the motives and so on. She is not angry at Kaidan, at least not anymore, for quite some time, she is just totaly depresed and utterly sad and her virtual heart still beats only for him.

She did some flirting tho... trying to have a life, you know?

Jacob was first but that sentenced with "Cerberus doesnt mind fraternatization" was a total put off for her as it only reminded her of Kaidan, not to mention that Jacob was just... well 2 much. They are friends tho and he got he back... hmmm...

She moved on Garrus and hell, there could be something but again all the memories of how Garrus was madly driving the Mako all over planets,  whilst Kaidan and she were tossed around inside bumping into each other (bwahahaha) while they sang the old good "We are in the navy now..." (until they decided to test that mine field and got blowed apart... thanks god for save files)... well, she just couldnt.  She loves Garrus tho, just not the same way as she loves Kaidan and they sparr together regulary, fooling around like realy realy good friends, laughing their asses off and all..

Then there was Thane... they quite connected and if they would meet before Kaidan there would definetly be something. After his conffesion she kindda told him everything about Kaidan and all that and well, it ended there even if Thane said that he will carry her in her heart. His embrace is always there for her when she needs to cry her heart out until she passes out and he takes her in his lap carresing her hair. They have this gentle frendship, sort of platonic love. He comforts her and she comforts him, when needed.

If she needs to punch something she goes to her buddy Wrex, drinks regulary with Katsumi and the best eva doctor, argues with Miranda, meditates with Samara, sings with Mordin, throws knifs at Zaeed (he doesnt mind as he is scarred so much already and they are buds) and when she is in for a mistery she stops by Legion... oh oh, when she want to play "Arrr we are pirates and we will blow up you planet" she absolutely visits Jack. Sometimes she even stops by Liara... to... hm... well, just cheecking on her if she is behaving as she wants to be ready if she will have to kill her because of Liaras powerlust...

Anyhow, she is more or less all-right... but every cell of her body and mind screams for Kaidan. She is madly scaning every planet she encounters hoping that the probe (configured to search for Kaidans DNK) would return positive information and she would hear : "Kaidan Alenko has been spoted!"

Even her favorite non-human-without-a-mobile-platform-inteligence EDI is trying to find Kaidan as EDI is utterly afaraid that the tears from Shepard will cause shortage.

Joker however is still afraid to see Alenko as Alenko promised to shatter him when Joker told him that Shepard didnt quite made it out from original Normandy... but he makes hot cups of cocoa for Shepard on daily basis so as far she is consirned, he has her forgivness for not leaving original Normandy when he was told to...

Ok... realy realy sorry for this looooong post... I just had to put all out.
Anyhow, my Shepard and I, we demand Kaidan! We utterly support Kaidan! Kaidan forever!

I mostly pick top options, but chose the bottom ones for when he asks about cerberus and for the last choice (fat chance).  For the last one, I don't think the top option is very good, why would he agree to join the crew after he just claimed that Shep is a traitor? Beside, Fat chance is probably the response I would have given personally.

Yay!! Showed my hubby the "The many faces of FemShep" and he really really liked it, have been trying to get him to play ME for quite some time and now he wants to try it =) so happy! Hmmm... don't know if he will keep Kaidan after virmire so we might not be able to share my fav-LI. Don't even know if he wants to play F!Shep or M!Shep. But I don't care, I'll be able to talk ME to him =) happy happy

@meonlyred thanks for the horizon-vids. There was one option that I haven't tried before that was better than what I usually pick.

Currently romancing Jacob, after that Thane probably. Then it's back to Kaidan. Like to wait until I've forgotten the romance-dialogue in ME1 before I romance him again. It hits me much better that way =)

edit: spelling as usual.... feels like my english always get worse during the weekends....*sigh*
