Ugh, that's what really frustrates me. When ME3 comes around, and Kaidan and his loyal femShep finally end up in the same room together, it'll probably go down exactly like this:

FemShep: Kaidan!
Kaidan: Hey there... Shepard.
FemShep: Can we... talk? About... us?
[CUE EXPLOSIONS, GUNFIRE, FOUR HORSEMEN, REAPERS AND UBERVAMPS.]
FemShep: *facepalm*

[LATER, ON THE NORMANDY]
FemShep: So, Kaidan, can we talk now?
Kaidan: Too much time has passed, Commander. I kind of expected you to move on.
FemShep: But I didn't! The last thing I thought about before embarking on a SUICIDE MISSION was YOU!
Kaidan: I need to think about some things. Come back later.
FemShep: *facepalm*

Oh Lord, it's going to be just like THIS, isn't it???

I'm so going to be the Shepard who races through the game and doesn't prepare properly for the Reaper confrontation, just to get to the "night before the big battle" scene.

The galaxy should be afraid.

@fidelity: Personally, I didn't make characters that really wanted to romance someone else. Perhaps I'll make a character for Thane that he gets to keep. Or one that goes with Garrus and stays with him to see how that works out. But I didn't make the differences to see Kaidan throw a fit. I think what was expressed above was right. He'll probably be mature and a bit aloof about it. He always leaves himself a way out. But I want to see if it changes the outcome with him at the end of the story--whether his love stayed loyal, almost fell, or fell for someone else.

And I will go with my first instinct--have Kara let Thane down easy after Omega-4. I was sad when Kaidan's picture got turned down. I'll be happy to see it pop back up again.

Yep honestly if I had to bet good money on it this is exactly what I would wager on.. Just because that seems to be the ME forumula so far. HOPEFULLY they reward those of us with past relationships from ME1 with some more LI screen time but I am not going to expect it.

All my wardens, hawkes and shepards are good and faithful. Think it would be fun to just try doing something bad for once, and I want to see what that brings out in Kaidan. Will my Shep be able to get back with him, will her new LI be hurt and angry. Hmmm.... there is material in the game for these situations. I think that seeing that will be quite interesting. It's not only about making Kaidan jealous, it's about seeing how that effects the game and what possible routes open up to Shep and what routes are closed. I'm trying to get better at not playing the same char all over again with a new face       :happy:

This is my problem too I always lean towards the goody characters that never stray. But I am starting to find appeal in not doing that all the time. ME2 is dark enough and punishing enough towards Shep that I find it easier for her to rebel, be hurt and act out. In ME1 a paragon Shepard is easy to play because you are set up as the example hero. Mine was a little damaged because of  Mindoir but she had conquered that pain years ago. In ME2 she wakes up to find out everything has changed and she's forced to do things she doesn't want, people she knew and loved are mad at her, moved on or just can't help her. There isn't enough alcohol on the Normandy to take the edge off what is happening to her. So I find the idea of 'cheating' on Kaidan more and more appealing. 

Except I don't know if I REALLY can do it, so far I've only managed to hit on Kelly.....

Kitty is the one that's going to act out. She's my bad girl.

Doing it because it's in character for your Shepard is a better reason than just wanting to troll Kaidan.  It's the reason Meghan went to Garrus.

All that happened for her other than staying loyal was that she got drunk enough to wake up in a bathroom.

Unfortunately, when I was thinking about ME3 with kinect and I realized this would also need Playstation Move. My mind went to worse places. (Either way, if the kinect rumor is why me3 got pushed back, I'm just gonna be annoyed. Polishing the game is fine for me though ;_

These polls just make me hate Tali. *roll eyes* No not really I'm fond of Tali but it's annoying to see her 'win' every poll just because you can't see her face...

I thought that the devs had already stated in the past (like a month ago) that ME3 wasn't going to be compatible with Kinect. It just seems dumb to do that as a 3rd entry into a trilogy.

EDIT:  @Tali:  yeah.  I always felt like she was Shepard's little sister.  But in ME2 she gave off a creepy stalker-ish vibe even to my femShep.
How in the world did Jacob get 14 votes?
