"Mass Effect 3 might be about big-scale battles and the fate of all worlds, but there's still time for love. There's an epic battle for Shepard's heart, after all. If you were suave in Mass Effect 1 and 2, then you have two love interests, both vying for you as worlds are about to end. This love triangle will be resolved by the end of Mass Effect 3, so look forward to walking off into the sunset with Liara. I mean, seriously, who else would you want to be with -- Kaidan?"

Shallow dig aside, it almost sounds like a continual confrontation.  I only hope it's not nearly as childish as it sounds.  <_<

Sonnofa...

Well, on the ToPic of Love Triangles, have these marines I am fond of...

Well, the writer is a dude, so I'd cut him slack...but GEEZ.  Those sort of digs imply that female gamers don't exist, and we see that way too much in gaming journalism.  It's one of the reasons I despise most of those who chose that occupation so much.  There are a few stellar exceptions to the rule, like N'gai Croal, and Kristine Steimer, but generally we have to read articles written for fourteen year old boys, in the voice of fourteen year old boys.  It gets old really, really fast.

/rant over.

I see that Liara and Garrus are the team in the first demo...still hoping to see Kaidan in action in one of the other three.

He may also be aware of the stupidity that is Genesis and is just being clever.

I could be too generous.. but I'm not going to tar and feather the guy quite yet.

Considering the other dig at Mordin, I think it's more simple stupidity than anything else.

The article is by a girl. Who obviously didn't get to know Kaidan.

That makes it sound like you get rewarded for having romances in both games prior to ME3 instead of being rewarded for staying loyal. Hrrmm. Maybe it's not getting consequences like what was said before so much as getting different outcomes. I'm going to have a fit though if staying loyal ends up being the boring uneventful option. :/

The little image of a person next to the article looks male to me.

no, its written by someone who played a female shepard... the "crazy hot" comment and general manner of speech doesn't sound much like a girl to me, at least. (Hilary could also be a male name, though if it is written by a girl... I weep for the species)

I cannot be as nice as Sia though :/

If you click on the link attached to his byline, he's a guy.  My nephew also has a unisex name that is being overtaken by females.

For some reason, I got the mental image of Faithful!Sheps' Kaidan berating you for not being with someone else/not being honest with him through the game up until the last minute sexing.

"Shepard, you know, it's okay, I understand."

"No, really, it's cool."

"You don't have to lie to me to make me feel better.  Really, I understand."

"Oh, hey, you were telling the truth all along.  My bad.  Bed now?"

I think it was the "vying" part that gave me the impression. Like the two love interests would be fighting for Shepard's attention or something throughout the game.
But I'm not too worried because this particular article seems to inject too much opinion and speculation anyway.

Yeah I don't really see Kaidan being like that. He seems more like he'd just let it go.

<3

I got really lucky with that one.  I could have very easily missed it.  I was trying to take a picture of something else and when I swung the camera around, they were off in a corner together.  I swear Ash was making a grab for Kaidan's hand.

... or at least, I think it was his hand.  :o

Hopefully. But if BioWare really goes down this route, then I have to admit that I don't consider an OOC confrontation/fight for Shepard's heart between two characters as a reward.

Kaidan.  No.  He would withdraw and focus energy on the current mission.

But  Ash vs Miranda or even better Ash vs Jack ( It seems they both have been Miranda -ized for a reason in ME3).

It seems everyone just assumes we all saved Ashley at Virmire
