Indeed.

DA series is where you get all the good catfights.  ME people are too laid back for that.

Well... cat and dog...  (Anders/Fenris)

They're not laid back, they're professional.

Kaidan isn't a push over, I would be a bit disappointed in him if he didn't make some kind of comment about Shepard finding someone else. Him yelling and insulting Shepard and the new LI? No. Him lashing out and hitting someone? No. But he is well within his rights to be angry and disappointed.

In ME1 if you try and play him and Liara both he demand you make a choice. IMO he sounds angry or at every least a bit irritated.
about the 2:00 mark is when the jealously scene starts. I can see him being this angry if not a little more in ME3

Irradiated?  Really?   Wow... that's even angrier than I thought!

(I'm teasing, but that's a hell of a typo.)

I do the love triangle every time.  IMHO, he sounds more pissed off about Shepard trying to play both him and Liara at the same time than he sounds jealous that she might care for someone else.

But then, I'm taking him at his word that he understands and that he's been "pulled in two directions" before.  He could be trying to be understanding and cramming it down rather than really feeling it.

I did the triangle with Meghan.  But... she really did misread Liara and thought they were just friends.  Meg's a little thick sometimes.

Why do they always diss Kaidan?
I really don't get it, but thinking about it, it is always men...

I really want to see Kaidan in the demo's but I bet it'll be Garrus and Liara.

Sounds like the "love triangle" will be interesting but might be too much drama for my taste,

Similar.  I play the triangle because I enjoy the scene, but Shepard's mostly missing Liara's intent and Kaidan is... well... stuck wondering, I guess.

Poor Kaidan.

This is my problem too I always lean towards the goody characters that never stray. But I am starting to find appeal in not doing that all the time. ME2 is dark enough and punishing enough towards Shep that I find it easier for her to rebel, be hurt and act out. In ME1 a paragon Shepard is easy to play because you are set up as the example hero. Mine was a little damaged because of  Mindoir but she had conquered that pain years ago. In ME2 she wakes up to find out everything has changed and she's forced to do things she doesn't want, people she knew and loved are mad at her, moved on or just can't help her. There isn't enough alcohol on the Normandy to take the edge off what is happening to her. So I find the idea of 'cheating' on Kaidan more and more appealing.

Except I don't know if I REALLY can do it, so far I've only managed to hit on Kelly..... =]

lol   =)   jupp. I've only played full paragon sheps's. And I agree, it's one think to have an idea of where you are going and then you start playing and you'll just have to see where you end up. Let us know how it ended up.

You know... if you want to romance another character, romance them. I don't see the appeal in wanting a jealous Kaidan temper tantrum.

I'm trying to get better at not playing the same char all over again with a new face

Doing it because it's in character for your Shepard is a better reason than just wanting to troll Kaidan.  It's the reason Meghan went to Garrus.

who said anything about trolling? Don't know who you are refering to, of course you only do something that works for your shepard. And why is it bad to see different possible outcomes in a game? If you don't wish to see that part in the game then of course you don't have to. But I can't see the harm in anyone else wondering how it will turn out. Hmmm.... I think I want to see it because then I'll know what was different for all my faithful shepards.

I try to avoid that scene. I start the love triangle and get to point where Liara asks Shepard about her and Kaidan. Up until that point you can say Shepard is just being friendly with Liara.

As for ME3 love triangle, I really don't want to see that happens. Its something I can't justify even for story telling or curiously. I have explored some of the ME2 romances but only with Shepards that are not romantic with anyone from ME1.

But I'm a fan of unrequited love, if say for example, Thane loves Shepard but Shepard still only has eyes for Kaidan. I wish that is something that they would add a bit more of in the storyline. They did that a bit with Kaidan in ME1, I guess, but that is the last time you see anything like it.

Hmmm.... I don't know if it will be possible for any one of my sheps to move on in ME2, haven't so far =) have several friends who can play renegade and do all kinds of cool things with their Sheps, Wardens and so forth. But I have always ended up playing my paragon goody girl no mater what game I do. Never done the triangle in ME, guess that for me to be able to play a shep that moves on in ME2 she would have to get the feeling that Kaidan has moved on. Hmmm..... guess I'll just have to see how it feels with the next shep. I would be very interested to see how it plays out, and I don't look at youtube to see different outcomes in the game, I rather see it played out. Which is why it's so good I actually have friends who manage to play renegade, otherwise I would never see that part of the game =)

For me I get the impression that this is the boat Liara is in, from what I know of her from the comic and ME2 (haven't touched Shadow Broker DLC yet!), considering all that she's done for Shepard it's strikes me that she loves Shepard quite a lot. In my Shepy's case it's completly unrequited.

On another note currently on Horizon and just replayed the Kaidan scene 3 times to get my perfect dialogue....I'm still preferring Paragon lines there's seems to be more feeling rather then cut to the chase.

Also Harbinger has got some nerve: "You WILL know pain Shepard" Hello? You've already killed me once jackass!

:P

Definitely see Liara and Thane always having a thing for Shepard.
I can see Garrus having a bit of a crush on Shepard too.

I might not bw the biggest Kaidan fan but since i did make a faithful Shep specially for him, heres what i would personnaly like to see when they come across one another in ME3.

First i would hate for Kaidan to go all emo over a Shepard that cleary states that things are over. Hes a thoughtful reasonable man and i dont think he wants to have feelings for a woman who moved on so to me hes more likly to keep everything in and try to mask it  then lash out. But i would still see him tell Shepard that she meant something for him or a comment to the new LI. Just no catfight.

On the other hand, for a Shepard who stayed faithful or did have a fling and states that she wants to put the pieces back together with Kaidan, i would like to see a little more effort put to regain Shep's trust. ME1 makes it clear that Kaidan tends to  always keeps himself a way out, something you even get to call him out on ( asking him if hes always so cautious even with a sure thing). So after what happens on Horizon...  I dont see my Shep being able to go back to him unless shes damn sure   1) he did not personaly betray her on Horizon but chose to fallow his principles  2) hes gonna have her back from now on  3) no more way out. So i guess that means many good dialogues instead of shoving the issue under the rug. Forgivness certainly isnt one of my renegadeShep's strong point but im fairly confidant paragon Kaidan has the patence and the strenght of character to make her understand why he did what he did. He just hope he get a chance to show it.

This is awesome, thanks for sharing!  =D  I support light armor for Kaidan in ME3, even though I know it probably won't happen.

Well... I do disagree with you on Horizon, just a bit.  It took two people to screw up that reunion.

I am kinda on the fence about if I want to see the love triangle, on one hand my shep would never hurt Kaidan like that (she is full paragon, always tries to do the "right" thing). I had to make a new Shep just for Thane.
But on the other hand, I want to see all that ME3 has to offer. So that means doing all the missions to win and to set my self up for losing.
In ME2 it was a lot harder then I thought, to make sure everyone died in SM, well except Joker lol

Ah, see, I didn't play as a guy every in DAO.
And I was faithful to Anders in my one finished romance playthrough (well, she slept with Zevran, but come on!  It was Zev!  Posted Image And not a peep was said about it.  Posted Image)

@Triangle scene in ME1:  I have played that scene as well and have enjoyed it.  I like the dynamics.  Coincidentally, that's how my husband lost his romance with Ash.  He proposed a threesome.  LOL

@crush on Shepard:  Kaidan obviously does from that scene after Eden Prime and then on the Citadel.  He's just more covert about it.  Don't forget Tali in ME2 and her borderline-stalker behavior even toward a femShep.  I see Garrus has having a bit of a thing for her as well.  Obviously Thane does since he calls her Siha whether you romance him or not.

No need for extreme cage fighting matches but a little jealousy can be fun. Like the one time the Asari Consort was flirting with my Shepard and Kaidan got kind of irritated in ME1. That was before they were even together. I just think that stuff is cute.
