I hated the paragon option. "It's been too long, Kaidan. How've you been?"
Kaidan had every right to reply, "That's it?"
With Shepard, the neutral option shows a bit of hurt in the dialogue, "You don't seem happy to see me. Is something wrong?" It at least conveys some confusion or hurt on Shep's part. But the emotion isn't there.
The renegade option completely sidesteps the issue and Shepard basically says, "I don't have time to explain jack squat to you, I'm working with Cerberus."
And that's the trouble I had with Horizon's dialogue.

My Kaidan-faithful romance, Zora, wants to beg him for forgiveness.
And Venezio Shepard lost his biotic buddy. He wants to go to Chora's Den and talk things over with hard liquor and asari strippers.

I have done that one, it made my husband look at me like I was retarded while I loved myself stupid.
To go on record, I understand why the arguement on Horizon happened. I hate it, it breaks my heart everytime but I don't blame Kaidan at all. I believe there is some plot that we don't see full right now. However... I do blame Shepard for not fighting back. For being the crazy amazonian warrior woman that she is you would think she would put up more of a fight. I know she realizes its been two years, she might not have moved on but he had, and she doesn't want to match in a demand him back at her side, and all that. But blood hell woman! Get mad! Throw a fit! Punch someone! The garage guy whould be ideal...

As several people have said, the dialogue choices for Horizon were the killer. I was totally on Kaidan's side for the most part - can you even say that you don't want to be working with Cerberus? Not that there was any justification for my Shep to be with Cerberus anyway...
You can say something of the sort. I think Shepard tells him he should know her better and he says that even if she thinks she's in control, Cerberus can't be trusted and she should know that. It's gotta be along the lines of the paragon replies - I can see if I can take a video of later, maybe. If I can get my volume problems on videos solved.

The one thing I don't get is why people think Kaidan is out of order for doubting Shep. Let's face it this isn't D&D, resurrection isn't exactly the norm. If the person you loved and trusted more than anyone else in the world, disappeared without a word, made u think they were dead then suddenly showed up and was all "Yeah I died but they er brought me back to life."
I don't think it's unreasonable for that person to doubt them, remember no one, absolutely no one has ever been brought back to life from the dead up until this point. Even from the mighty Commander Shepard this would be hard to swallow.
Actually this issue in general caused me to *facepalm* quite a bit, couldn't they have come up with something a bit more believable than resurrection for ME2?
Shepard being in some sort of a coma would of made more sense to me, but I wouldn't know how to get around the floating around in space part. Lack of oxygen would eventually kill you, that suit could of only had so much.

@Batteries, I really have problems to believe Shepard was dead and even when Cerberus brought her back into life, how can they be sure that she is the same...Sounds more like dark age magic to me...But then again, how was she be able to survive and just be in coma...I guess only BW knows that ...

Unfortunately, I feel the need to RP everything and had to wrack my brain for a reason Shep stands there like a rock while Kaidan basically tears her to shreds. I assume it's shellshock like y'all have said before. As it stands, my Shep understands his reaction and it even causes her to rethink her subtly approving stance on Cerberus. (They're in her head?)
Ah, rationalizing Shepard's Horizon!fail...
I confess, in 9/10 of my playthroughs Kaidan doesn't make it out of Virmire (because I love Ashley with all the fervor of my shrivelled fangirl heart), so I don't remember exactly what he says on Horizon why you ask him why he's...upset. However, I do know that if you romance Ash, she says "I loved you," and that always makes my canon!Shep go: "Hold on a minute, loved? As in 'no longer loves?' Well, way to dump me out of nowhere!" He gets hurt and pretty much doesn't listen to anything else Ashley says, and that is my excuse for his terrible lack of eloquence. If Kaidan says something similar (which, thanks to the magic of character-merging, he almost certainly does:bandit:), then that would be my rationalization as well.

Here's a neutral dialog version of the Kaidan Horizon scene: http://www.youtube.c.../38/4He2k0hiyhA
He does indeed say "loved". It's very sad, especially if it's the first time for Shepard hearing that from him (or Ashley). It's understandable that someone would be tongue tied in that situation.

I only hope Shepard gets a fraction of those dialogue choices to explain her feelings to Kaidan.

"You betrayed everything you believed in. You betrayed the Alliance. You betrayed me."
Personally, I find these words so truthful (considering my canon FemShep is a Sole Survivor), it's painful to hear.
I hope can give TIM a big boot in the ass in ME3!
