Seconded! My dad took me and my sister to the cinema to see Star Wars when it first came out, cos my mum didn't want to go, lol.meonlyred wrote...
I can't imagine avoiding Star Wars. I grew up with the 'real' movies. The original movies plus the KOTOR games are arguably the best Star Wars anything. Oh and the comics, but then again I'm just a fan of comic books.
Anyways back to Kaidan!

Though tbh, with KOTOR I truthfully prefer the Obsidian written Atton Rand over Carth personality wise. He was just more appealing to me, not that I don't love Carth........... Just Atton was entertaining and I liked that he was a smart ass sometimes. If there is one thing I would tweak with BioWare's LI's it is to have them a bit less serious, actually no, two things, I'd have them a bit more pro active in the relationship too instead of my character doing alllllllllllllllll the running............. I mean, throw me a bone here

And I definitely don't mind to hear Sbarge voicing somebody evil in games. Not only because that guy from "Nip/Tuck" impressed me, but also I want to hear someone say "Carth" on that:devil:

Oh, scratch that btw. I just remembered, I actually had a hard time killing the Blue Suns merc you talk to in Mirandas LM. Found him strangely appealing..

I never renegade him, but I know what you are saying, however we know all too well BioWare are going to reset his personality, cos despite all my Shepard's paragoning of Garrus he is still hasn't learnt and has to be re-paragoned! <_<mineralica wrote...
Don't want to see Kaidan changing into "chaotic evil", but it would be nice to see if you renegaded him in ME1 he stays renegaded.

Please don't hate me, it is a real bug bear with me it's 'losing', sorry............Commander Kurt wrote...
And, while I'm here, my favourite line is "I think about loosing you, and I can't stand it." Right after that, he's sure he's lost her (battle of the citadel). Right after that, he looses her. It really makes my heart go out to him when he says it, knowing what he's in for.
Sorry.................. Forgives? I just don't want visions of Kaidan's pants being too loose........................... Wait a minute.............. didn't think that through.........

I love Atton, he is one of my favorite LI... that you don't actually get. At least with Carth you got a kiss, kind of, and a "I love you." Atton you had to wait for a evil Sith witch to tell you that for him.
Thank god for Kaidan, they did him right. You got a "That's what I lo— appreciate about you," a short make out scene, AND sex without clothes.

I've played Kaidan's romance, and I definitely hold it as one of the best in Mass Effect period.
The only thing I wish is more of a friendship path for male Shepards.

And I know what you mean, but that ending (we have to assume) is not the conclusion Obsidian had planned but was, rather, the one forced by meeting unreasonable deadlines, which luckily for us with Kaidan, BioWare never had........

Considering the inability to reciprocate Atton's affection...I would have preferred there being no "romances" in KOTOR II at all. Just friendships/rivalries instead.

I would have liked a friendship path for femshep as well, Kaidan really doesn't take rejection very well. I liked how they did it with Jacob.

I know what you mean though, I do think that Kaidan gets the short end of the stick (shocking, I know...... /sarcasm.............. <_<) because as femshep you can have a friendship with Ashley, imo!

I do wish they had more friendship dialogue options for all characters...here's to hoping ME3 delivers. (I also hope they don't retroactively change character's sexuality, regardless of couple badly recycled lines and modding opportunities, but that's not a popular opinion to have >_> )

Once you get past theof Hale's 'flirty', voice, Jacob is a good friendship option, I just wish they didn't close up shop on people you aren't romancing in BioWare games..
Nope, he doesn't. And truth be told, I find that rather unappealing in a man. And I agree, the opposite sex can be interesting even without the "sex" part..! Friends are a good thing to have, Bioware.

EDIT; I rejected him sort of in the middle, and he was rather annoyed and had nothing more to say to me after that. I know that he should have more to say at that point even following a no romance path.

eh playing maleshep doesn't mean Kaidan dies on Virmire...at least not for me..I just cannot kill him off :/ with Jacob, that friendship option is so weird..I still have no idea how I ended up pissing him off on one playthrough and planning drinks post suicide mission on other O_O
