If she doesn't measure up, will it hurt DA2?

Since when? She's gotten more time in the official trailer than any other female.Atakuma wrote...
Isabela is entirely optional. She isn't the lead female.
I sense the watermelons do it for you. Perhaps the large oranges were not enough?slimgrin wrote...

That's called marketing. Gaider has said that you don't even have to talk to her in the game.Taint Master wrote...

Link? Not that I don't believe you, I'd just like to see what he said.Atakuma wrote...

I'm looking forward to it. But I think Bioware is going to have a hard time outdoing themselves on this one.GabriellaE08 wrote...
Meeting Isabela in DA:O, I wasn't too fond of her, granted that she played a very minor part in the story, I still didn't like her. However, I do like her new appearance. But I'm not sure if I'll like her more than I did Morrigan. And I'm sure it's me just being biased, but I loved Morrigan. She was my favorite female in the game.
But I don't think it will hurt DA2. We just have be comfortable with the idea of having new characters and a new team. As foreign as the idea may be. But I'm excited, nonetheless.
Maybe nobody is.Taint Master wrote...
Interesting. I guess she's more akin to Leliana then? Who's taking Morrigan's spot then?

Anyone else think the deck is stacked against Isabela? Taking the female lead after Morrigan gives her some BIG shoes to fill.

Morrigan and Alistair "spots" - as leading female and male characters - are taken by the two surviving Hawke's siblings.

Yep. People will met Isabela and think, "She isn't b*tchy, verbally abusive, she doesn't second guess everything I do, and she won't dump me in the end. How can I romance a woman like this?!"
