Actually I would ve preferred if they gave Isabela and eye-patch or smthg. Smthg that would be "piratey" as well as adding smthg "dangerous" to her persona... a scar may be... lol

The idea of the wrestling match is actually quite good... a "different" "Prooving" in Kirkwall's lowtown... Who would want to see that?  :o   ROFLMAO

I find both of them attractive. Does this make me a hermaphrodite?

Well in my mind Leliana was the "leading lady" of DAO, Morrigan just had a role to play in main story. But if being the "leading lady" means being the most significant to the overall story I'd say Bethany will fill that role if your a warrior or roque. If you want to directly compare Morrigan and Isabela I'd say Morrigan was a good character but am excited about Isabela and think she has the potential to be better.

I don't know... Is there such a thing as 'cognitively hermaphrodite'? heh

Seriously, however, I'm friends with a few lesbians myself and our tastes never, ever match. Not meaning to generalize, of course. There's always the matter of individual preferences.

That's what people's been meaning when using the word "lead". Me, at least.
For the record, I also went for Leliana. I know Morrigan was supposed to be a Darwinist, but she came off as a whiny, entitled ****** to me. Hell, if she actually knew anything about Darwin, she'd knew that social dynamics and contributions between individuals are usually better for the continued survival of said individuals than an "every man for himself" attitude.

I personally found Morrigan to be boring as a character. Did not hate her, did not love her. Was more of a Sten, Allister, Ohgren/Shale person myself.

Interesting. I guess she's more akin to Leliana then? Who's taking Morrigan's spot then?

Maybe nobody is.

That... that... I don't even know how to explain how you just made me think of Dragon Age 2.

Concepts of beauty overlap genders more than most of us care to admit.

Morrigan was my girl crush in DAO and since I pretty much relied on her as a mage, she got that demon baby every freaking time.

No way Isabela can fill her shoes.  I was interested in Bethany, but since you don't get her with a mage PC...

When I think of "lead" role, I think of it like in a movie.

In this light, I expect Bethany (or Carver, for that matter) to be a support character.

Though Bethany seems like she needs some support herself in the first place.

Sadly I think Varric is gonna be a HUGE dissapointment for all those people that made him sort of a dwarf-super-hero of epic proportions...

So many (500?) pages of fantasy and delusion will turn on them like smbdy that shoots himself on the foot... Image IPB

Uh, correct me if I'm wrong, but weren't you the one who did the cosplay? I would keep my mouth shut if I were you. heh

I think Isabela has already stumbled because she isn't an original character. She was just a fairly loose side character in the original and now she's suppose to be the lead female? Yeah she started out two steps behind to start with.

I didn't meant too suggest that Varric was even romanacable.  I simply believe he will be playing an important part in the plot similiar to say Morrigan and the dark ritual.  I Sincerly hope said offer doesn't result in Hawke impregnating the little dwarven rogue...  but,  as of yet I have come to a conclusion.

Again, this is a character you don't even have to meet. Obviously, she's not part of the plot the way Bastila, Aribeth, or Morrigan were in their respective games.

Tough choice.  Isabella is a bit skanky, but seems to have a sociable personality.  Morrigan isn't necessarily "skanky" per se, though she does sleep with you pretty easily, and her personality is pretty cold and off-putting.  Truth be told I don't find Isabella appealing in the least, so right now I will have to go with Morrigan as she seems to warm up overtime.

Everybody makes mistakes... LOL

Besides, one thing is doing a cos-play so the gang can have a few laughs about it... the other is overidealizing a character you dont know yet how its really gonna be...
