You have no idea how much i dislike the dwarves.
I could not stand Oghren and i really can't stand Varric.

You don't even know him yet! And Oghren was funny until they flanderized him in DAA.

I don't make it a habit to defend racism, but surely it's not so bad if it's a fictional race. After all, many fictional races are true to their stereotypes for the vast majority of their members. If a member of that race differs significantly, it's usually because that person is the protagonist or is otherwise important to the plot (see: Drizzt Do'Urden, the Darkspawn Messenger (and maybe the Architect himself) in Awakening, etc.).TriviaAeducan wrote...
Still imho hatin' dwarves is just so... racist? Maybe that's just me. I faced a fair share of racism in my lifetime.

It was played straight (sort of) in Mass Effect 2 when you talk to Mordin. He talks about how if you have 3 different humans in a room, you'll have 6 opinions, whereas for other species, they all think and act similarly. In fact, in many games/movies/etc with multiple races it's often like that: species x might have their intelligence, y might be really strong, z might be beautiful...and humans are diverse. Dragon Age is no exception, IMO. So when I see a Dwarf, I often think "Dwarf" and not "random individual who may think or act in unexpected ways." As to why I don't think the same about Elves...I dunno. Maybe having City Elves vs. Dalish helps.

Thired on this...and it has NOTHING to do with the dwarf thing...me and crimzon pretty much have the same reasons where it concerns varric...I remember him saying his reasons in a another thread and that describes my thoughts about him to a T.
Oh...you might be right. But I'm sure Mordin at least says something about the genetic diversity of the human race while explaining why they might be experimented upon.yukidama wrote...
