Better dance moves. ME2 was awesome, but Shepard's dance moves were a disappointment.

1. I'll be disappointed if they don't at the very least include a codex entry (with picture) on the Raloi. Considering that humans had been the new guys on the block and the Raloi are being introduced to the galactic community at a very dramatic time.

2. The interiors of ships other than the normandy, e.g., dreadnoughts. Ideally of more than just one race.

3. Ship diversity. I don't know if it was just me, but I had a hard time telling the turian ships from the human ships in mass effect 1. So I would hope that, in the hoped for epic space battles, the different races ships don't all look the same.

4.Being primarily a Paragon player I believe I have pretty much every player in the galaxy backing me for when the reapers arrive. I have the humans, asari, salarians, turians, hanar, elcor, volus, drell, krogan, quarian, geth, rachni. However the one group not in there are those from the terminus systems namely the batarians and the vorcha. Now I won't be crying if they don't join up as well, but I think it would be cool if shepard recruited a terminus systems pirate fleet to aid him as well. Particular considering if your shepard has the war hero or ruthless backgrounds if you remember the background from those. I think that would make it even cooler then.

5. I for one would like to see what a quarian actually looks like. Also I expect bioware will have this happen in a paragon epilogue anyway, but have the quarians return to the worlds peacefully and cease hostilities with the geth.

Might get a little harsh, but here goes...

1. All surviving squadmates returning as viable characters; no former/current squadmates reduced to mission contact status. I'm willing to settle for a "recruit a person of each class" type of system, i.e. you need an adapt, pick from Jack, Samara/Morinth, Miranda, Liara, random newbie, etc. As long as such a system isn't generic -- with each of those people having the exact same script a la ME2 -- it may actually add to replayability.

2. The return of ME1 Squadmate interaction. ME2 had extremely little squadmate interaction. How many times do you really think Jack would put up with Grunt's "I am Krogan!" battle cry before she emptied her shotgun into his back? Elevators go along with this. ME2 Loading screens took just as much time to do the same thing ME1 elevators were doing, but you got some squad banter/background or news/missions at the same time while in the vators. Look to Dragon Age: Origins for an example of truly excellent interaction.....

3. True romance (no, not the movie). ME1 did it right. With the exception of Lair of the Shadow Broker, ME2 felt like it was written for the stereotypical D&D "nerd". These romance options are supposed to be Love Interests, not "hit it and quit it" one-night stands. While we're at it, let's get some options to be genuinely interested in learning about a person without him or her assuming we want nothing more than a roll in the hay.

4. Customization. Take the best of ME1 (squad armor/weapon choices) and ME2 (Shep's armor) and mash them together. I loved having the option of using sniper rifle as an Adept in ME1. Sure, I didn't hit much, but at least I wasn't required to only use one of two weapons (pistols & submachine guns) like in ME2.

5. Hybrid weapon ammo system. What kind of universe would truly scrap the "infinite" ammo system of ME1 for the finite system of ME2? Wouldn't it make more sense to simply hybridize the systems? While you have clips, you have an increased rate of fire. If you run out, your weapons aren't little more than paper weights.

6. Immersion and real drama. Mass Effect is first and foremost a role-playing game. Let's get back to that. ME3 is the final big bang for the series, the climax of 3+ years of BioWare storytelling. Don't drop the ball guys. No more plot holes. No more cheesy rip-offs of other sci-fi franchises. No more inverse armor law. No more "we'll fix this in DLC". Your names are stamped in the credits of your products. Make something you'll be proud of.

I want BioWare to return to the Gold Standard of storytelling.
I want a game that I will play more than one or two times.
I want a story that will stick with me for more than a week.
I want a bug-free gaming experience, complete out-of-the-box.
I do not want to be told that the story will be expanded upon/concluded in DLC.

I may be asking for too much.

I love the ambitious nature of the Mass Effect trilogy, and so far its paying off beautifully!

Mainly, I'd like to see the large cast from ME1 and ME2 represented, I know they probably won't be able to get every character in there, but at least drop some references of ones who aren't seen.

And of course, I'd like to see past romantic interests return. My Shepard was with Ashley then Jack. I'd like to see Jack in ME3 for example, though I don't expect her in my party.

And of course, a satisfying conclusion to Shepard's story, the Reapers, etc.

Except ME1's system had almost nothing but useless skills that should not have existed (i.e. Weapon and armor skills being the majority of them). I preferred ME2's system just mainly because it made more sense.

No thanks. ME1 had nothing but consistent useless items up to the point I
only hoarded the characters' default armors (except for Tali, who's
permanently on Collosus X) , Armax Predator, Collossus armor, and
everyone on Spectre X weapons. I even stopped playing Dragon Age Origins
just because the inventory was outright tedious. Even Fallout 3 made me
quit because of the ****ty inventory. Resident Evil's inventory is
better than the current system. Even KOTOR is better than this.

No durability. I gave up on Fallout 3 not only because of ****ty voice
acting, ****ty "consequences" but the inventory was tedious. Durability
did not enhance my enjoyability of the game, *AT ALL*. I never even
liked it in Matrix Online.

Just want to quickly respond. I am not trying to argue over these points because people have different tastes and preferences. I can definitely understand the frustration with things like F#$%ing durability and F#$%ing inventory managements. Personally I am more a traditionalist RPG individual.

Talents of ME1, it is true that some of that stuff are kinda useless but I like the system better than ME2 system. ME2=Too simple. I feel good with ME1 system just for the sake of being lied to with more eye candy. I feel no shame for being cheap on this one. Give me the sense of POWER, it did with a placebo even when I am still s*&^ at max level with all points spent. That being said, give us something in between the two games. Good talents, useful one and let us suffer in the deepest part of us having to choose between two equally good paths or what have you....Let us decide what kind of Commander we want to be and what kind of teammates we want them to be. That's all.

For inventory, I am not entirely satisfied with the ME1 system and like you said, there are times that my "almost infinite futuristic bag" is full of S%$$! I said bring it back to an extent so don't just give us that menu for option to turn into omni-gel because frankly nobody takes the time to manage their "bag" before its too late. I just want to say I like some realism in my game and having to manage a managable inventory is what define RPG for me. ME1=Too much. ME2=Too little. We just need a good balance and smart system so we have to work at it but not really having to work at it.

Durability, being a traditionalist more or less, I like it but I most empathically see your point and frustration. But I mean things in the real world degrades all the time. Again forgive my "realism talking s*&% mode" for I love escapism equally much but personally I like it for real. Even futuristic s&*^ have to obey the laws of physics but this durability s*%& is really a meager point. We can do with it and do without it. No big deal.

Problem with this: Shepard is a Spec-Ops Marine. I don't recall Force Recon Marines/Navy SEALS/S.A.S./Delta Force Operatives flying fighter jets or piloting helicopters. They're more of the "Enter enemy lines, blow **** up, and head home" type of operatives. On top of this, implementing Space combat would sacrifice something out of the core experience. Last thing I want is having a Conrad Verner-caliber glitch just because we shoe-horned space combat into the mix.

I have to agree. That point was for me like a wet dream really. I see it on a technicality point that with the game releasing at the end of the year, yeah probably no chance now to think about it. Just too much work. But I don't see why Shepard can't get in a fighter and do his/her thing. I mean a jedi can fly a X-wing so why not bad ass Shepard. Well maybe paragon Shepard is too much of a P#**^% to tell the brasses to stick it up their you know what and you know where and you know how. Renegade Shepard sure as hell would jump in anytime he/she wants. The commander must have some shady wiggle room right? Once again it was a wet dream and for an epic ending to a good trilogy, I don't see why not on a epic point of view but yeah...

I want:
- My Shep to have a better dance motion ^_^

- Armor customization for Squaddies / an option to make them wear ACTUAL armor and not just a breather during combat <_<
- A more customize able SR2 (don't want SR3 )
- Continued romance from LI :innocent::innocent::innocent: plus! a happy ending with them
- Engaging plot & story
- Actual consequences from decision made in ME1 & ME2
- Crew Party !!:devil::devil: And dance competition with Legion ^_^

Females Turians.

We know Garrus has sister. So either Turians all look exactly the same regardless, or there is some serious sausagefest going on with the Turians in space. Look if Shepard wants to gain the trust of the other alien species he's going to have sleep with all  of them obviously. We've covered Asari and Quarians. But that leaves us with (for Male Shepard anyways) Drell, Turians, Krogan, Salarians, Volus, Elcor, Hanar, Batarians, and even the Vorcha. Shepard's got his work cut out for him.

I could list dozens of things I want (and a few I don't) in ME3, but I'll make this short and sweet.

I want the story to focus much more on Shepard. Whether s/he is a paragon with determination and emotional attachments out to save everyone in the galaxy or a renegade that is battle scarred and tough as granite out to shoot everything s/he can, (and everything in between), I want this to be Shepard's story.

Some people brought up:

More interaction from teams.

Have to concur and stress this point. During my play of the two games, talking to the team is what I do everytime I get on the ship. The voiceacting, the dialogue, besides the story is what sells for Mass Effect.

So all I have to add to this point is:

Please give more personallity. Like Tali picks on you for something you said and is angry and she won't talk to you for awhile...(So out of the blue that makes you wonder "Gosh! What do women want!? Or "You are just jealous because Garrus loves me.") (Which would seriously trunk your possibilities of you know what(as male)/ a friendship (as female) and vice versa or if same sex possibilities allowed...(You know when you see it) and even missing some mission that Tali would prompt you if she is much more friendly to you) Getting a faceslap from Grunt for your inconsiderate comment about....um...something...Garrus will tell you a secret if you do something for him...etc.

Don't just give us "Loyal" "Normal", let us having to balance inter-team relationship and to Shepard, having some kind of gauge to judge who's on friendly terms with you more than others and options/items/tasks to increase these standings.

And add point of no return comments/dialogue options; forbid us from trying to hear every single dialogue in a single run, trying to get every single option. Let us regret saying something or wonder what if I said that....(More than what's in game thus far)

Add dialogue scenarios and use a randomization algorithm to generate random dialogue event for characters so they seem to be "moody". (I am just talking s*&^ like I know, I do not know anything about computer programming, what I saw for ME documentory on dialogue was awesome so you guys, the devs know your stuff.) Or if so drastically, someone will quit your team if you are not careful. I mean we should not aim to make this game like Sims but some more team intereaction would be very immersive for players.

Easier said than done but just to put it out there.

Mass Effect 3:
1) NO new squad mates, I'm tired of picking up new and dumber ones, bring back the classics
2) Make Liara a squad mate again, the best character in mass effect 1 along with Wrex doesn't come back, what's up with that
3) Make it an RPG
4) More powers, with different recharges, instead of using one and letting ALL of them recharge; It made all characters a one shot wonder with one power
5) Bring a vehicle back in the picture with real missions tied to it, like the mako with Illos
6) Have teammates communicate, its like two zombies following you, only saying one thing, "I am Krogan"
7) Give people armor, one sheet of loincloth isn't going to protect someone's balls from bullets
8) And toggle helmet, having a drink with a helmet on reminds me of Dark Helmet from Spaceballs

Another thing I'd like is to develop more on the "invite your LI to the cabin". Get into a conversation with them about the stuff you've aquired, like your old helmet - how surreal it is to see it? Do you still get nightmares? - the model ships or maybe a joke about the fish. "Still alive I see. Kelly must be doing a good job feeding them." "Hey!"

1) On this we agree.

2) Liara and Wrex are kinda busy being two of the most important, influential people in the galaxy.

3) Equipment, skill points, powers, dialogue trees, non-linearity. You're right, we've been tricked, Mass Effect 1 & 2 weren't RPGs.

4) Global cooldown was a balance change for the better.

5) Agreed, as long as the vehicle's use on sidequest planets isn't solely to drive around like a tourist collecting worthless mineral nodes.

6) They say things all the time, including congratulating you on getting headshots, commenting on what you're seeing in the mission, etc.

7) Really, the only violators here are Jack, Samara, Thane, and Grunt. Jack needs armor, Samara needs to zip up, Thane needs to cover up, and Grunt needs to quit trying to show off his biceps, killer though they may be. Miranda and Jacob are protected by the ME2 equivalent of ME1's light armor.

8) Agreed. Barely ever use the one-piece armors because of this.
