What do you REALLY want in ME3?

- to be able to toggle helmets on and off again, walking around in some helms are really cool and give awesome bonuses, but bloody hell I can't see shepard's expression during dialogue scenes... and it kinda annoys me
- weapon customisation again, adding cryo bullets to my pistols and +health regen to my armour
- a scene between tali and liara confronting shepard (I managed to romance both of them in ME2, did LotSB way before tali's loyalty mission)
- the ability to outright JOIN/LEAVE cerberus, not stay on the fence throughout the game
- Legion, Garrus, Tali, Mordin and Thane to return because they are awesome
-Liara to go back to the way she was, I like the twist of LotSB but it seemed kinda mary sue-ish (avoiding spoilers)
- MOST IMPORTANTLY....a VOLUS squad member! come on... a mini darth vader walrus alien kicking reaper *** by your side? YES PLEASE
EDIT** I also want to be able to carry over my Blood Dragon Armor and Terminus Armor to ME3 please

Besides that, I thought ME2 was pretty much perfect. I can bust it out at anytime and play through it again, it's always fun.

Ash/Kaidan to play a big part, Horizon was a joke.
Squadmate missions (loyalty missions)
Several endings, paragon, renegade, and a fail ending where the Reapers win.
No more plot holes.
Plenty of side quests, with plenty of choices to make.
Plenty of consequences.
A great story.
A long main mission.
Squad interactions.
No silly love scenes, make them tasteful, and not like soft porm.
No multiplayer.
No silly outfits on squadmates during missions, high heels dont belong on a battlefield.
Less combat, combat is good, but there was too many missons with combat in ME2. I want more missons like Samara's loyalty mission, where we interact with more people, and shoot less. Not every choice needs to be made down the barrel of a gun.
Shepard to show more emotion, you're human Shepard, not a robot, even Legion shows more emotion.

- Let Biotic powers either affect or ignore enemy defenses.
- Automatic refill for heavy weapons ammo and medi-gel upon returning to the Normandy.
- Implement a hybrid system between thermal clips and an overheating gauge. There is a limited number of clips themselves, if you overheat you must eject a clip. But if you can control the heating and firing rate, you'll never have to.
- Get rid of limited fuel and probes. For planet scanning, scan the entire planet at once and put markers on where to fire probes. For anomalies, don't force us to probe it to activate them.
- Modify the Paragon/Renegade system. Bring back something similar to Charm and Intimidate so we're not forced to fill up a morality score everytime just to be able to get more Paragon/Renegade options.

TALI'S. REAL. FACE.
No more of this camera turning away while sheperd smirks.
But but but but that could cause some issues with Tali's fans. She is meant to look like whatever your imagination wants her to look like based of the little bit you can see through the mask. Pretty, cute, hot or just darn ugly. Its your choice. Let the old mind run a little and you will know what I'm talking about.

I want to be able to actually walk around the citadel again. Maybe I'm the only person who liked doing that, and walking back to my ship.
More ships to explore or rescue....I want to see the inside of the Destiny Ascension

1) The squadmates coming back if you saved them.
2) For romances to continue and not be sidelined for new LIs.
3) I don't want to be forced to break up with an LI during the game or in the epilogue
4) If there has to be an 'ultimate sacrifice' ending then make it an option. I want a happy ending with Shep and other people living.
5) Make choices form the previous games matter more. I want major consequences for choices I made before.
6) I want romances to be more indepth and have more dialogue before the final scene. I'm also hoping that there are more then one romance scene but the final one will be the only one with sex.
7) I want much more squad dialogue and interaction. I want the squad to have banter like in Dragon Age and not be doing calibrations all the time.
8) I want squadmates to notice that you're romancing someone and talk to you and other people about it.
9) I want a long main quest and a lot of sidequests.
10) I want the main/sidequests areas to look unique like ME2 and not like the sidequests of ME1.
11) I want to be able to be able to do vehicle exploration again but only if the areas are unique and the vehicle is a combination of the Hamerhead and Mako(controls of the Hamerhead but with the shields/armor of the Mako).
12) I want the romance scenes to be unique like ME2 ones. Even if the scenes have to have nudity(I don't care for the nudity but everyone seems to want it) I don't want every one to look the same like ME1's scenes.
13) In the epilogue I want them to explain the effects of all our choices but I don't want it to be all text; I want some cutscenes too.
14) No multiplayer.
Ok this is all I can think of right now.

I don't know about lots but ME2 took a step back from ME1 in this regard and I for one was saddened by this action. If they really want to deliver on their promise of a darker more visceral ME3 we are going to need real love scenes, not that ME2 crap, but not nudity for the sake of nudity.

- Ammo Types to be upgrades NOT SQUAD POWERS
- Helmet Toggling (gotta see the face during dialog!)
- Something better then the ME2 Inventory
- Ally's to switch weapons (or a 'Tactics' like in Dragon Age) on their own
- No stupid Level 30 Cap
- To win a chance at being in ME the Movie!
- To Marry Miranda... not in the game, in real life.

Stuff i maybe want back:
-an improved Mako. Hated it at the time, but slowly grew to miss it. The cannon was quite satisfying. Although could be a case of rose-tinted specs.
-Loadevators. Annoying, but now looking back with some fondness.
Stuff i do want
-balance between too much kit and getting so excited on finding a new weapon i'd ring a mate
-all the old crew (settle for thane, garrus, legion and mordin)
-stop chucking romances at me
-more inter-squad-interaction.
-some less combat orientated missions
-no emails from Ashley. Get a grip woman.
-ass kickery

Among the many things I would like to see is cerberus taking back the ship when/if Shepard will no longer cooperate, then it's upto Shepard and his team to steal the ship, this could happen in three stages.
Stage 1: first the reclaiming by cerberus, a boarding party and running firefight through the ship, you cannot win because you are overpowered and cerberus has control of the ship via EDI, so you head for the escape pods, having escaped you are then picked up by Aliance or turian ships.
Stage 2 is to find where cerberus took the ship, fortunately while Mordin was removing all those monitoring devices he placed his own tracking device, you convince the captain of the rescue ship to follow the tracking signal, this can be paragon(ask nicely) or renegade(forcefully take over the rescue ship).
Stage 3, Will be recapturing the ship, possibly with stealth, Shepard has to find a way to EDI's core and disable any and all cerberus protocols to regain control.
The reason I thought of this is because Shepard is helping cerberus to upgrade SR2 effectively giving them one of the most advanced ships available.

- I can see the Council saying "Hell no" when the Reapers began their assault onto Earth. If this does happen, either they need to help at some point OR we NEED to have a better, deeper explanation as to why they're being so blunt (Oh yes, reeepers).
- Garrus and Liara as active squad mates (deeper Liara romance perhaps?)
- Loading elevators. I liked the dialogues during it (random news, etc) and for me helped with the immersion into the game a lot (instead of "Oh, a loading screen" you still feel as if you're in character in the elevator)
- Keep Tali's face hidden. Let the Tali-lovers weep (this one's probably more biased)
- Disbarking the Normandy ME1 style
- Old crew would be nice. Don't introduce a lot of new crew members unless it's needed.
- Paragon/Renegade built onto. It's a good system, yes, but ME2 kind of made it so you couldn't do 50/50 type of thing without losing on some core things (i.e a loyalty).
- No multiplayer

Agreed to all, especially the part I highlighted, I get fed up with my squadmates breaking cover just because they think it's safe or standing in the open like a putz while they get hammered with missiles, I feel like I'm babysitting them.Radwar wrote...

1. Remove ammo powers, instead make ammo a research upgrade or purchaseable upgrade (like current weapon upgrades). Before each mission allow Shepard to choose maybe 2 or 3 ammo types to bring along for the mission. Of course, allow the ammo to be switchable on the fly by each squadmate.
This frees up squad skill slots for more active skills (which imo would be more fun and tactical to use). In the current implementation I've seen most people just use 1 or 2 ammo powers at the beginning of the mission and never change, making ammo powers mostly passive abilities that are set and then forgotten.
2. Bring back weapon mods (like scopes, modified heat sinks, modified barrels). Have them as research upgrades or purchaseable upgrades and allow a choice of 1 or 2 on each equipped gun at the start of a mission.
This could add a fun bit of customization that is largely missing in me2.
3. Change powers from having shared cooldowns to having a short global cooldown and a longer individual cooldown.
Too many powers in me2 are rendered useless because the shared cooldowns prevent you from casting other powers (i.e. throw prevents use of pull which is most of the time a much more useful power). This leads to many classes simply spamming just one power constantly rather than tactically using all of their powers.
4. Add in a vehicle and put world exploration back in. Make the vehicle upgradeable and customizeable.
In me1 vehicle exploration was flawed, but not unenjoyable. My biggest gripe with it was that the vehicle never really scaled with level and eventually it got to the point where my squad could kill some enemies faster than my mako could (which is rather silly). I was hoping for it to be improved in me2 instead of simply taken out.
Maybe instead of planet scanning for minerals add a passive mineral scanner to the vehicle. Then you could drive around the untamed wilderness for minerals (while engaging aliens and pirates of course).
5. Make more missions use more than just your 3 squad characters to battle on multiple fronts or perform different tasks (or at least make it look like they're doing something when you go on a mission). Maybe make them do support roles like deliver ammo to your squad when you run out or something.
I always thought it silly in both me1 and 2 that you only brought 2 other squadmates with you in an assault on a huge base with scores of enemies. Surely the people who aren't with you are doing more than just watching the tiles on the wall!
6. Make clips either much more common, replenish when out of combat or infinite.
One of the biggest things I appreciated from me1 was that I never needed to look around for ammo between firefights. Which became a big problem for me in me2. I think this removes from the immersion of raiding a base because alot of time is spent looking for spare clips after a battle in preparation for the next rather than advancing through the base like you should be.
And those are probably the 6 things I would hope most for in me3 besides a good storyline and characters.

2) Get rid of ammo powers, its like the developers were lazy, and they made them powers to fill the class trees
3) NO GLOBAL COOLDOWN, ruined all classes, making them all one dimensional, terrible idea, the man who created that idea should receive a crotch shot
4) Make weapons and armor customizable, not just changing their colors but adding things to them like runes in Dragon Age; larger ammo clip, stronger shield, ect.
5) Don't have ammo clips, but have "clips" where the gun uses the ammo, then releases heat, like the first Mass Effect but extremely fast
6) If your bringing any character back, bring Liara, not only the best love interest, but the character with the most in depth personality, making her the most realistic

There's a lot of great stuff in the two Mass Effect games. Sadly I only have the first one, but I'll get the second one... eventually. And if ME3 is really going to be the last one in the series, it's a last opportunity for the devs to put in as much awesome, brilliant or hilarious stuff as they can.
I'm hoping to see the following:What else?
- Blasto. Not as a sci-fi TV program; the Council reveals that he is an actual Spectre operative. Bonus points if they also reveal that the majority of their Spectres - let's say 70% - are Hanar.
- Tali and Garrus as recruitable squadmates (again)
- "I'm Commander Shepard, and this is my favourite store on the Citadel." in the majority of Citadel stores will have entertaining repercussions
- Turian councilor air quotes. Backfires at the end of the game when Shepard does it back to him (Renegade option, but with no minimum morality requirement, because even Paragons deserve to be able to do this)
- Ambassador Udina revealed to be absolute badass with a shotgun
More Turian councilor air quotes
Bolded for emphasis.
Also want to see...
Virmire survivor either a well done return to the squad, or as an anti-hero.
More RPG focus this time around, since they really cleaned up the combat aspects in 2
Also, no multiplayer in 3 please....after the trilogy sure, but let's keep it a hybrid like it should be.

2. a strong storyline like mass effect one with lots of scientific explanation with very very few plot holes.
3. lots of options with dialogue, lots.
4. ammo that doesn't spawn conveniently at my feet every 2.4 seconds.
I don't care about anything else, if I want combat i'll go play call of duty multiplayer which is far more challenging than a single player game.
