That is usually how I am. I have a definitive plan for all my evilness but when I implement it I feel horrible and will start over. I usually have no problems playing a renegade in Mass Effect, though. Not sure why the difference with me.
I'm always full renegade in my run throughs, but rarely that evil in Dragon age, (as I said sometimes the whim strikes me), the difference to me atleast is that none of the evil stuff really makes much sense, I have no qualms for effectively pissing about and choosing the most hilarious and evil options purely for comedy value but I won't take the story or the game seriously If I do so. Running circles around that Twi'lek who just wanted a dancing job whilst flailing my arms was one of the most hilarious points in my gaming career.
But yeah, defiling the ashes and destroying a panacea to all ailments instead of taking it for yourself and perhaps selling some to the highest bidder is far up my line of thinking than simply destroying it. Those evil choices never really made sense though some of them were messed up by meta knowledge, couldn't really justify killing all the elves for +1 constitution well that and my dad was in there it was still tempting though. Though I did make Isolde kill connor a few times, that was also hilarious.
