Thanks Tarot. I took a look at those haks and there really wasn't anything I could tear apart to use for the parts based system. I have a couple of trains of thought on the books now, 1st would be the parts based system which would need books of a specific orientation to match up with the other parts. And 2nd totally new books which would be the last compilation I did, new orientations, sizes, etc so there are more options then just books facing the same direction, looking the same other then hardware and cover art.

That being said, the parts based is broke up into 3 parts. This means we can reskin the base books with stone, gem, etc or change the base book entirely as part 1, add new scrollwork, locks, end caps as part 2, and maybe do the spine of the book or something totally new as part 3 since one is not currently being used. Suggestions?

I have a couple of questions concerning the parts based system for the books.

What is the cap on how many of each part? 255?

Is it going to be CEP compatible?

afaik each of three part can have only 25 parts, but you can make unlimited new book baseitems and since you yet used only two parts you can reuse the first empty to put there another 1st parts, so you woulh have 50x25 for each baseitem.

As far as CEP compatibility concerned, in this moment it is not, but if they will want it and you allow it they will surely add it. So I would not care if I were you, only if you would not want to give it to them
