Just wondering if anyone had any plans to add 1-2 more spots for members in your group. I know nothing about modding so I dont know if its even feasible, im just curious.
Any Plans for More Group Spots?

The GUI is the stumbling block - the number of group members on the screen is kind-of hardcoded. There might be a workaround, involving making additional group members more like...well, temporary henchmen/followers, but this might cause all kinds of problems.

I would be awesome to add followers, like the ones during the game that join your party but you have no direct control of them, with the light blue ring around them. Maybe that's possible somehow?

I believe there's a console command to increase party size, but the gui portrait slots aren't increased and it probably has some unknown and bad effects.
On followers, I'd laugh if you could get a pack of mabari to follow you as in Ostagar.

I was just wondering. I personally would love an extra character or two for some more play options and I'm sure others would as well.
Part of what i enjoyed most about playing World of Warcraft (4 years, quit recently) was the freedom to design my own user interface, and the FIRST thing i got rid of were the stupid character portraits, replacing them with SMALLER simple colored bars that showed the character's name, health and mana, etc. I was amazed at how much bigger my screen looked and how much more of the game world I could see.
There are plenty relevant peices of info to be shown in a game like this. The character's appearance is not among them.
Ugh, portraits are such a horrendous waste of screen space anyway...The Angry One wrote...

What about having the extra members as pets? Pets like ranger pets / summons show up near the portraits but have their own health / mana / stamina bar. Maybe something like this could be used as a permanent extra character space?

Ha yes, instead of summoning a wolf or bear, we could summon some marbari or quanari!

I think it's hilarious people saying that adding another 1-2 party slots would unbalance the game. What with the numerous situations with infinite waves of enemies that you can't even set up choke points to manage because they can push right through you as if you weren't there. Seriously. I just finished the Redcliffe fight and the best darn ground would SEEM to be the narrow wooden bridge right below the mill. I set my three melee characters (PC, Alistair and Sten) shoulder-to-shoulder on the bridge--and that bridge is ONLY three "actors" wide--and the enemies STILL swarmed around them to overwhelm Morrigan (speaking of which, it's even MORE hilarious to watch half a dozen enemies ignore three or four tanks beating the hell out of them to swarm ONE mage).
Hey, now there's a mod idea.... fix the combat AI so characters can't just push through a wall of heavily-armored tanks if they're blocking the ONE doorway opening into the room.
